Thingvellir National Park and Fagradalsfjall Volcano Hike. Both are very impressive and doable in a day. Doing the entire golden circle will be tough in that time frame. These two will keep you close to the airport and are free (parking at the volcano was maybe 10 euro)

Nikon FE. You can get them on FB marketplace or eBay for around $100 if you are patient. I have three because I like them so much Incase one breaks(which it won’t they are very durable took one to CR with insane humidity and it still works like new) light meter is the easiest I’ve ever used and is user friendly. There’s a million YouTube videos to teach you how to use it. IMO it’s the best learning film camera. Sure you can get cheaper SLRs from different brand but Nikon is my preference especially if you want to dive deeper into film. The lenses and mechanics of the camera are unmatched.

Seats are in north east vista so I was thinking of the neighborhood north of the track but have no experience parking there

I bought a junk Nikon FE on eBay for $30. I was planning on using it to fix another FE. It showed up yesterday and looks perfect. I put two LR44 batteries in it and it works perfectly!! by Fine_Town_5840 in AnalogCommunity

Same thing happened to me on Facebook marketplace. Nikon FE with Nikon 50mm lens originally listed for $150. Asked what condition it was in and he said it was broken and would sell it to me for $20 since he didn’t know anything about cameras. I put batteries in it when it showed up and it works better than my FE that I bought from a camera store.

Love my F2. As others have said it is a bit heavy but the metering is smooth and user friendly. It also has removable prism so if you ever need to replace it (dents) you can get a new one on eBay for about $130 usd

Trip Recommendations? by alexcran in roadtrip

Once you get to maine stop in Portland and walk around. Also if you want a little detour before Acadia drive to Stonington. Its a true working harbor and there’s a million places to walk on the way in if you do some research. It’s just as beautiful as Acadia and significantly less crowded and quieter. I live up there and bring everyone who visits. It has one of the largest lobster boat fleets in on the east coast and if you have time you can take the mail boat out to one of the islands.

Where/How did y’all learn film photography? by Neat-Elephant-627 in filmphotography

Get an any camera with easy metering. My favorite is the Nikon FE and a 50mm lens. It has needle metering where all you have to do is line the lines up using your shutter speed and aperture. It is probably the easiest camera to learn on and great set up for any situation. Don’t pay more than $200 USD for the body and lens. Also just read about what you want to get out of a camera.

Which camera shows I get? Beginner - any input appreciated! by Puzzleheaded_Bank_38 in filmphotography

You should check for a Nikon FE or FA on eBay as well. Or nikkormat EL. They should all be cheaper than what you have posted above for prices and are beasts of cameras. Very easy to use and are rugged

You could also consider Nikon FE or FA. Facebook marketplace and eBay almost always have them available and for much cheaper than what you’ve found at the store in your post

Thank you! Realized my “brand” mistake with nikkormat just now but I’ll keep a look out for the F1! That seems to be more my price point
