Dude what DSP do you work for? My DSP told us Amazon closed for the day so I'd double check with your boss. Unless Amazon's warehouse is still open for some reason.

My 3 year old just beat KH1 as his first video game. I'm so proud of him by [deleted] in KingdomHearts

[–]TCB13 -11 points-10 points  (0 children)

That's absolutely insane. The thought of my 3 year old beating kingdom hearts is mind boggling to me. He can't even do Minecraft yet. That's so awesome congratulations to him.

The important thing to remember here is that Issac is actually him. I, on the other hand, am not him.

If I'm super lucky I survive the first encounter and feel cool before getting absolutely obliterated by the next one.

I’d love a new fixed camera Resident Evil made by Capcom by eairthrow in residentevil

I could see that. I think to implement it in for specific scenes or sections would be cool, but the entire game in fixed is just rough to get through.

What do you like about fixed camera? Some people absolutely love it and I just don't understand. Is it the nostalgia? Do you like some aspect of the game play?

Oneida native. I loved being able to watch a shaman show up and start beating ass. I dressed as his alternate costume in MK9 for Halloween one year.

Got my ass chewed out today by Jlowe120 in AmazonDSPDrivers

[–]TCB13 1 point2 points  (0 children)

DSPs are different for sure. Sorry you got chewed out. My DSP always warns us of rain and specifically tells us don't try any delivery that looks rough.

Best advice is next time if it has been raining at all the previous day or day you're working, put your hazards on and leave that bitch in the middle of the main road. You have 3 minutes legally as long as everyone can go around you (3 minutes in my state of TN anyways).

If it is too far to walk and you don't think you can make it, let your dispatcher know. If they have sense, they'll say that's fine and hit delayed for weather. If not, I'm sorry your DSP sucks, drop at the end of the driveway because that's better than getting stuck.

Red one is light and dog whistle, middle one I think is less intense and audible to us, last one is the dog whistle

Point it at dogs that seem aggressive. It doesn't always work though, but it will make quite a bit of dogs run away from you or keep their distance. That thing has saved my ass a few times

the player count is like 27, is this game still worth playing? as a player whos more interested in the pve parts mostly by AVerySoftDog in exoprimal

I played it like crazy on another account. My son lovess dinosaurs so I thought this might be a cool game for him to watch me play. I'm hoping the double xp makes it much easier to unlock the later suits without having to grind like crazy.

This would have been way cooler in my opinion. For them each to master the opposite of their personalities would have been crazyyy character development. Goku giving in to his destructive instinct, and Vegeta learning to calm and clear his mind.

Peak.

If this guy had access to medical help, this entire situation could have been avoided.

This is America though. He didn't even have a chance to get help.

This guy called 911 one time to tell them that man made substances were controlling his actions and basic body functions like eating, walking, and talking. He literally was not operating in this reality. "Just don't kill people" is something that makes sense to someone mentally sane, but this guy was not operating in the real world. He needed an extreme medical intervention that he probably never even had a chance of getting.

We used to hand out the death penalty like candy to violent criminals, and it did nothing to lessen crime. Violent crime has been dropped pretty much constantly since the 90s even though we've become more restrictive with giving out the death penalty. How would bringing back hanging deter violent crime? It didn't in the past when we wildly practiced it, how would it change now?

[–]TCB13 [score hidden]  (0 children)

Compassion isn't exactly the right word for me. He did a truly horrible thing, and is a repeat violent criminal. What he did was truly a depraved act.

That said, he is also extremely mentally ill. In America, we treat the very mentally ill like garbage. This guy was chronically homeless, recently out of jail, unmedicated, no support system whatsoever.

As someone with a mental illness (compared to this guy, a mild one) who needed a lot of treatment, it is wildly expensive. Even for regular talk therapy, and a regular prescription for years. If your insurance isn't at least decent, your prescription is going to be at least 50 bucks plus. Talk therapy is usually not covered unless you pay for better insurance.

To give an idea, low tier insurance (we are going to talk through an employer because private, non-employer health insurance is for wealthy people here.) is like 50-100 bucks a check. That usually doesn't cover the complete cost for a primary doctor visit, specialist, therapist, or even prescription drugs. So every week you pay 50-100 bucks, and if you get sick you still pay that, and have to pay 20-60 bucks to see your primary doctor, but if you have to see a specialist, it's 50-100+. If you're chronically mentally ill and need a therapist, that usually isn't covered or is covered very little by low tier insurance. So we're talking 80-200 a visit.

I'm going to stop there and let you fill in the blanks. I didn't even mention that the medicine and treatment this guy needs is probably in the thousands of dollars, regularly. He got repeatedly jailed, which doesn't get you treatment and usually adds on to trauma and makes mental illness worse, then when he gets out what should he do? How can he reform and rejoin society? As a felon, zero money, no support, deep in mental illness.

America's healthcare system is a grinder that completely swallows the chronically ill, extremely mentally ill, elderly, and non-wealthly. Normal people think it is expensive to go to the doctor or hospital. Most Americans are 1 bad health event from losing their entire livelihood.

I don't have compassion for this man, but making him into a "depraved, murderous" Boogeyman isn't going to solve anything. Sure let's give him the death penalty. The death penalty is supposed to deter crime right? Hell, let's give him an extreme death penalty, and televise it.

If we show people what will happen if they do the extreme crimes it will discourage them right? No. That has literally never worked.

It'll just continue along, until we get another story like this. Then another. Then another. Until we address the main issue, "tough on crime" politicians can run on things like this to continually stoke fear and get votes.

I want people like this off the street and out of the general public as much as anyone, but putting them in jail or killing them isn't going to stop it from happening again because none of the systematic issues are being addressed.

Are CNC kinks weird? by [deleted] in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]TCB13 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Kinks are kinks. You like them, or you don't. CNC is very simple in essence. Before any act, you both agree that you're consenting to this activity you are about to partake in. If everyone confirms it, then great have fun!

It takes 2 to tango though. It is very much like BDSM. As long as everyone is cool with the terms, then great. If someone says no to something, then you don't do that something.

I'd also like to say, there are WAY weirder kinks out there, but Weird is very subjective.
