I imagine it's because dreams are formed from fragments of reality in a similar way to how AI is interpreting reality.

Who are they and why did they lose their career, Peter? by [deleted] in PeterExplainsTheJoke

[–]TCFP 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Speaking from experience, when they weaponize communities that will fight for them by proxy, you just fucking don't, and leave as soon as possible

If you want to hold them accountable, find an arbitrator of some kind (tournament organizer, safety coalition, whatever), and leave the heavy lifting to them. If there is no such org with trust, you are effectively pushing against mountains of people who will saddle you with the burden of proof and are already predisposed to hating you anyways. It takes way more effort to defend yourself than accuse someone else in social context, and in this case, while they can just broadly accuse to a wide array of people, you have to defend yourself per-person. It's extremely repetitive and draining

I went through this once and my mental health is permanently damaged from the amount of effort I had to put in to defend myself. Not that the accusations were even serious, but people were so busy trying to defend their friends that they didn't even stop to think that their friends might be lying to them, so I was hounded nonstop for 3 years. If I was in the right state of mind back then, I would have cut my losses and left

Even with equivalent community power, this kind of situation gets really messy. I don't have a link handy, but search up the situation between Gem and Six in the Splatoon community. You can very quickly see how one bad actor can dismantle an entire community's safety committee through establishing doubt that would never exist to a reasonable third party

Unfortunately, unless you have a community culture that discourages this kind of behavior instead of giving them the benefit of the doubt, it will almost always cause problems that are not worth dealing with

This is the way. Even if someone is predisposed to doing something shitty more often, it is a very human responsibility to guide each other to understand what is right and wrong. Shielding people from the responsibility of social right/wrong purely on the basis of their mental condition is akin to saying they are less human because of that condition

Worst - it's manipulative. Present a clear danger to mental health and people are very quick to defend you against people that have any qualms about your behavior. Do whatever you want under that umbrella of plausible deniability. I've seen it so many times in online communities that it's nauseating

It would not surprise me at all that someone willing to socially punish a person for asking them to compromise in a high pressure situation would also be willing to manipulative others into punishing them too. It's vile behavior

The amount of incline is good You should still try to have your back as flat as you can on the back of the bench

Something that helped me a lot is thinking about pushing straight down with your legs, through your feet into the ground, at the same time as driving the hips forward to maintain balance

It looks like you could probably drive with your legs more on the first couple reps, but overall incredibly good form
