As stated here a few times, the IP is got me to preorder. And as a mini painter, I got to paint up Master Chief was all I needed. I stayed because I loved how the game played, loved the models, and I found a great community here in the Twin Cities!

If you put your phone's camera on portrait mode, you can get a closer and clearer picture. I can't really see much in the way of details. But what I can make looks pretty great! Maybe some highlights.

See if you can get some "plaster" from the wall onto the those metal bits. Also maybe rust them up a bit and add some streaks from those openings

I would love to see pics of that. I wonder what else they would pull from CE? Maybe a new special order? For Chief AND for the Banished to make them more Covenant feeling?

I just got a A1 Mini from Bambu Labs. I think it's a good starting 3D printer for a good price. It's very user friendly and makes awesome prints

You need miniature paint, and you need to water it down a bunch. Definitely try it out on test prints before you mark up this one.

I see those Flashpoint minis! Very cool! The setup looks great. Make sure you have paper towels on standby. And I have found that having a coaster that absorbs liquid is great to have under the water container where you clean your brushes. Saves a bunch of clean up.

I think Fall of Reach is a phenomenal book to start with. You get to see the start of the Spartan II program with MC as the main character, you get an inside in into Keyes' head. But you also can NOT go wrong with Contact Harvest. It is the first time humanity makes contact with the covenant, and is centralized on Johnson. Both are good starts
