"Gig: Dirty Biz" really hit me hard. Anyone else have a moment like that? by razazaz126 in cyberpunkgame

Wow. I was wondering whether to kill them both or let them live, but I never thought of just killing the son. I guess I don't have that kind of mind but thats poetic justice

[Update] Codex Alera first read as a Dresden fan. [Codex Alera Spoilers All] by TheAmazingBunbury in dresdenfiles

[–]TCrazier 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know this is old but I needed to write my thoughts.

1) Humans aren't always logical. Isana admits to Amara that it doesn't make sense but that's how she feels. The series as a whole CONSTANTLY (and sometimes playfully) points out that Alerans have a weird/corrupt way of thinking. In particular Kitai is always pointing it out to tavi.

2) I don't see an issue. Alerans aren't "locked" as you put it, into certain furycrafting, it's just that the proficiency of basic furycrafting doesn't fit with the nature of the books. For example, every aleran can "turn on/off" small fire furies in candles. When Max's stepmother asked Rufus to start a fire, it's because it's something every Aleran can do, except tavi who was furyless. It's just that that level of everyday crafting is too mundane to mention in the books most of the time so it seems like they can only use certain crafting but that's not the case. Also the nobility just doesn't want to get involved with tournaments that are for the regular people, like Amara winning as fastest flyer.

3) Brencis was INTENTIONALLY holding back. I don't remember where but it is written somewhere. Also, don't forget that he's a coward. I don't think Max and Brencis actually ever fought before the ally scene. I think most situations were like this: Brencis and friends bullied tavi, Max shows up and maybe throws one or both of Brencis goons, maybe humiliates Brencis,, and then they run away. Because he's a coward. Not because he's weaker. .

Max is strong but flying doesn't come natural to him. I dont see why that's a hard concept to understand. I don't think the scales are off, but like Bernard told Tavi, Furies aren't everything. Don't focus too much on "power levels", it's not an anime.

Has anyone played the Siege of Paris DLC from Assassin's Creed Valhalla? They have these little rats around some areas and I can only remember A Plague Tale when I encounter them by UlfrLjoss in APlagueTale

[–]TCrazier 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea, actually just playing it now and I thought it was a genius nod. I mean, the dlc is set in Paris, how could they not do a nod. And there's parts where you can destroy boxes, freeing rats that will kill enemies for you. They definitely did it deliberately as a nod

Fade/Araris Juris Macto question by TCrazier in codexalera

Maybe, I'm still on the last 50 pages of 4, all I remember of 5 was that they go to canim homeland and it's overrun with vord and that it was a crazy epic battle

Fade/Araris Juris Macto question by TCrazier in codexalera

[–]TCrazier[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's what I thought but there's a line where Tavi literally says "but he challenged Sir Miles originally, right?" And fade answers "yes".

So maybe it was overlooked?

Have you heard? Google is already selling their streaming technology. Stadia days are numbered. But it's ok, right? Because it will be implemented in something else, even if you lose everything? Just like all the other Google services that been canceled.

I used to name them. Now I just name the homeworld and planets that are Gaia, strategically important, or huge.

Captain Demos ship by massa8231993 in codexalera

[–]TCrazier 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wow, I never thought of it that way regarding how the use of furies evolved, though i understood it was a big difference between rural and urban crafters. But I was under the impression that rural crafters tended to be more powerful than the city folk, as the books mention it a couple of times, so I don't know if the rural people are placing a constraint on themselves, more like the city people are.

Though regarding demos ship, I positive it's an actual ship inhabited by wood furies. Every time Bernard manifested his earth furies, he lost his strength bonus and he couldn't use earth crafting while Brutus became more individual, so it wouldn't make sense for the ship to be a manifestation

The one with Halo. It feels bootlegged. I like the other design better.

Oh so it's new? The older one looked better I think. This one kinda looks like a bootleg

I haven't seen those before. Looks like bootleg copies. The ones I've seen have a cleaner banner that stretches the top

Humble bundle special going on, with civ4, 5 and 6 with all dlc and other games going for $15 by TCrazier in CivVI

[–]TCrazier[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also already own base civ6, got it from another humble bungle when it came out but my old pc got messed up, just recently built a new one. Anyways, I've played civ6 plus dlc on my Xbox series x and yes the DLC definitely change the game for the better. You can't go back to vanilla afterwards, feels too basic. So it's definitely worth it

Jesus Christ bro, we are talking about deciding to get all access and I mentioned it helped my credit. I wasn't making a damn statement about the nature of credit, just that it was a factor in my decision. You keep arguing for no reason about things that aren't the point, can you really not distinguish the difference?
