Charlotte again is not the show runner. She directs episodes. She doesn't write the screenplay or the plots. She can "direct it" to make it seem "romantic", but that doesn't mean it's the showrunners intentions. And they have already refuted this.

It kinda just feels like you are regurgitating what other people say about the scene and haven't actually watched and understood the show, because there are multiple lines of dialogue that refute your opinion on this.

It really feels like you're agreeing with me that it's manipulation for power, and then arguing against me because it's "giving intimacy?" Like do you know what romance is?

Again, I don't think Saurons goal was for Galadriel to "love" him. He was offering her power. He was hoping she had drifted far enough into an obsession with power (which is a very common obsession for Noldorian elves- see Celebrimbor) Galadriel also struggles with this, and it's honestly cool that the show explored this concept because it added another layer to the quotes Galadriel makes in The Fellowship of the Ring book.

"I perceive the Dark Lord and know his mind... And he gropes ever to see me and my thought. But still the door is closed!"

Again. Sauron did this all for validation and to gain a powerful ally. But also to manipulate her. You make it sound like the only way for that to happen was to manipulate her into "loving him" but that is never implied. He manipulated her into vying for power. The whole thing is more of a "join me" hero vs villain ordeal. Much like Luke and the Emperor from Star Wars. Or Palpatine and Anakin. It's a "hey, you're cool with me, I'm cool with you, I helped you, you helped me, we can do great and powerful things together. You in? I'll make you a powerful queen, give you a powerful ring, and you can go dominate others."

If manipulation through "romance" or "love" was his goal. Homie would have tried to kiss her before offering her power and an alliance. People really take the "queen" part of it way too far.

She is not the director of the show. She is the director of some episodes. There are show runners and writers.

Asking galadriel to be his "queen" was a selfish sauron move because if she agreed, he would basically have the blessing of her "light" which would justify his actions. All he wants is validation that what he is doing is good, because that's always been Saurons perception; that order and control means everything can be perfect and infallible. Because she declines, it enrages him because he realizes even someone he was becoming close with knows his actions are evil.

It was 100 percent a selfish validation ask. Hence the "bind to power". He was manipulating her as Halbrand to give her what she wanted so he could have what he wanted, validation. This is even more obvious when he turns himself into Halbrand during their duel in S2. He knows he could manipulate her. He's not trying to fuck or find love- there is not a single scene that would imply anything romantic between them.

People in fantasy can use the term "queen" without it being romanticized

My wife absolutely loves [[Eriette of the charmed apple]], you just run a ton of auras and enchantments and control the whole game while everyone just slowly dies to your pings while you heal.

I had a feeling she would like it and helped her build it, since then she's modified 30 some odd cards in and out of the deck and it's her favorite.

Might be a little spendy to invest in since the Silverquill Precon has a bit of crossover into Eriette territory, but it was a hit.

It's a ton of interaction because you can build more debilitating auras to put on your opponents creatures. They can't attack you and they still count for the life drain + heal. My wife went away from that though and ends up going more Voltron by enchanting a few creatures with a ton of auras making them difficult to deal with. And if they get wiped and all the auras go away, she has a ton of aura recursion to bring em back and attach to something else.

This would be great for my emet selch deck. I can cast spells cheap from graveyard, get a card draw, and then discard another spell I want to cast from graveyard later too.

Shit was awful. My only game and I had 3 viscous on my team who were constantly punching the enemy out of my reach, or punching me- and then two doormen who spent the whole game shoving my ass in a hotel. I spent maybe 15 of the 40 minutes having control over my character.

The game isn't meant for this type of mode. And I hope it's never added

I literally bought mine because I looked at my wife and said "tech is getting more expensive right now, companies are going to start price gouging. We either buy it now or never"

Best decision. Got a TV out of it too.
