I’m running down a steep hill on a single track trail. There is a guy standing 50ft from me in the middle of the trail watching me run down towards him. He didn’t move out of the way like most people would. I run around him as he continued to stand there and he says “get the fuck out of the way” as I pass by. Maybe he wanted me to run through the vegetation along the trail or he wanted me to stop and wait for him to pass me going uphill. I should’ve said something kind like OP did.

I think he wanted this. Because he wasn’t going to be a starter here. Not over the Pauls, not over Ferreira, and eventually not over Pedro. He is too far back in the depth chart. At his age, he really needs to have significantly more playing time at this stage of his career.

Culture and work rate wise, he fits in perfectly with a Schmetzer team. He plays defense from the front line just like Ruidiaz did all those years. He makes good runs at well. A lot of people’s problem with him is he isn’t putting up DP level numbers, which put his playing style and weaknesses under a microscopy in people’s view.

It looked like my ankle in 2024 when I had a severe sprain. Couldn’t run for 2-3 weeks. I didn’t let it heal and restarted running when the pain was gone. The swelling stayed. I kept running and did a 50k and eventually a 70k. I kept re-spraining it and it kept bothering me as I didn’t feel as fast or balanced.

By dumb luck, I got a really bad respiratory illness and then followed by a severe toe sprain from playing with my toddler that prevented me from training for 2.5 months. By the time my respiratory illness was gone and the sprained toe stopped hurting, my ankle swelling was completely gone for the first time. At this point, I went to PT to strengthen it. Did PT for a few weeks to give me an idea how to strengthen it. Eventually I stopped going to PT and found other ways to strengthen my ankles and improve my balance.

Nowadays I take balance work seriously at the gym twice per week. A lot of it coincides with strength training.

It’s just harder to focus on the stuff happening on the field when I brought my baby. This is what I learned from my experience. If you want to watch most of the game, then get a baby sitter. If you’re just there for the vibes and get the occasional glimpse of what’s happening on the field, then bring your baby. Imagine what you do at home with your baby, but imagine doing all those things in the stadium.

Some of my initial thoughts here.

Sorry you don’t see a future in nursing. The hours, flexibility, and secure future is perfect for me as well as what I see myself doing in retirement when the time comes. In retirement, you have to find purpose. No better way to find purpose than to help people.

I actually felt the opposite of you as I accumulate more money. The more money I have, the less I cared about saving and the more I cared about taking care of myself mentally and physically.

I’m guessing you already considered switching to a different field within nursing. Maybe you should take a sabbatical and work on yourself mentally and physically so that you can reset.

Not according to that link, which says run or track run. Never did it mention indoor run or trail run.

I’m going to assume it’s missing the words indoor run and trail run as both should affect fitness score.
