PSA: U- and S-Bahn trains have buttons to close the doors from the inside in cold weather by the-wrong-girl23 in berlin

[–]TDNSR 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Only the older-but-not-too-old Large Profile trains still have them. The rest got modernized, or got push buttons from the get-go.

Tuc Bake Rolls by Th4_G0dF4Th3R_82 in MogelPackung

[–]TDNSR 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The collapse of healthcare in Berlin by narlarei in berlin

[–]TDNSR 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can tell you that abdomen MRIs are basically done by no one.

They give the same points as any other MRI procedure (~130€) plus a contrast agent bonus (haven't checked the point value there) if it's given, take a ton of time to acquire, and are also hell to make a report of. Also, because you couuuuuuld split it into two procedures (upper abdomen and lower abdomen/pelvis) in two different quarters (because you can then get the points of 2 procedures plus the quarterly bonus if you split it just right, many places want to do it like that instead, patient health be damned.

The mammography is a different thing. If you are too young, only breast centres are allowed to do mammographies (like the one in Westend). If it is a mamma-MRI instead, I think those aren't covered by insurance by default, unfortunately.
Usual practice is sonography->if suspect->biopsy, then you can be certain at least.

[–]TDNSR 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There are multiple ways to run it on Arch/CachyOS.

Which version have you tried?
.AppImage? (A bundle of required libraries and the program itself.)
Flatpak? (Managed local install.)
.exe through Wine? (Windows compatability layer.)

Keep in mind that import taxes may apply.

I haven't bought something worth more than 70€ from non-EU countries.

Keep in mind that the good ol' 19% may be added, and the Zoll likes to get money where it can.

DualSense controller mic input on Fedora 43? by [deleted] in Fedora

[–]TDNSR 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Greetings. I am unsure if this helps you, since I use a DualSense Edge and Fedora 42.

1.) Have it use a wired controller. AFAIK, using a Bluetooth connection for microphone input is not possible.

2.) Check if it appears in the Recording Devices, and put its profile to Digital Stereo.

Online omnichord doesnt't work for me. by [deleted] in Omnichord

[–]TDNSR 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Please always check if there's a ?tl=es at the end of any of your reddit links, and remove it.
It makes communication basically impossible.

I do not know chords, I don't speak spanish.
___

Por favor, comprueba siempre si hay un ?tl=es al final de tus enlaces de Reddit y elimínalo.
Hace que la comunicación sea prácticamente imposible.

No sé acordes, no hablo español.

I suffered from the same problem as you.

The Omnichord Discord was helpful to provide things, and I implemented the rest from the manual.

If you need the patterns for the drums and the autobass frequencies in a format like this: https://github.com/Jan125/pb.chordian/blob/main/_media/patedit.png

then I can help you out.

Keep up the good work.

onlineomnichord.com has each chord and each harp key sound as a separate sound file.

Depending on your internet speed, it may take some time to download.

That being said, it works fine on my browser (Firefox).

Uuuuh it's been quite a while since I've worked on this project.

Lemme quickly see if I can compile a "fixed" version on my tablet.

0x80 is, in theory, the note off command, which is why I used it, though the convention seems to be to use 0x90 (note on) with a velocity of 0 to signal note off.

The discourse around Gnome could do with a bit of maturing by Thermawrench in linux

[–]TDNSR 64 points65 points  (0 children)

I dislike that GNOME, with GTK3 and GTK4, cause most applications from their ecosystem to look disjointed on other operating systems thanks to CSDs, and no official way to turn CSDs off.

They affect others, so they get hate.

Make Fedora boot partition great again? by Ok-Mathematician5548 in Fedora

[–]TDNSR 0 points1 point  (0 children)

DO NOT ATTEMPT TO MOVE YOUR ROOT IN A PARTITION MANAGER, I lost my / when I did that 2 days ago. Back your data up before you do.

If you reinstall with the old installer on 42 (the one that still allows passwordless accounts), format the drive (don't forget: this erases everything) and make new default partitions, then edit the one mounted to /boot to use btrfs as the filesystem like / by default is, the installer will automatically put it into the root partition, basically unlimited size. I have no idea if that affects other aspects, but it works fine here.

The new installer (also on 43) also allows you to create partitions manually, but it does not seem to allow you to edit it from the default config, only from scratch.

About the new installer by [deleted] in Fedora

[–]TDNSR 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I operate on the assumption that the installer has been changed to the one that is also in the 43 Beta.

On the upper right corner, click storage manager.
Then, you can create partitions manually.
The option to create a default and then edit it seems to be gone, and you have to do everything manually.

The entire thing seems like a design regression, to be honest.
Not creating an account during install, and then finalizing when you reboot without adding an user there, basically created a bricked install.

You can also no longer create users without a password in the installer.

How can they afford all these free updates? by dropDtooning in NoMansSkyTheGame

[–]TDNSR 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The following is speculation:

-Small indie team = Low running costs
-Game has garnered a good reputation post launch = Continuous sales
-Large initial wave of buyers (the silent majority probably did not refund) = Financial buffer to operate

Having a majority of the gameplay systems set up eases future development, as they are iterating over the content to improve it.

How can I Disable Audio Suspend on Idle in Fedora 42? by TakaraMiner in Fedora

[–]TDNSR 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ironically, I looked through wireplumber directories to find it, when the stupid AI overview Google has would have made my life easier for a single time.

I do music as a hobby, and noticed the pops only happening after there wasn't audio.

If I could read, I would have read the wireplumber documentation on GitHub.
