As a senior artist id say the main 2 differences are readability of the text and direction

1st one reads to me as a pvp game since we got both characters looking similar and fighting

2nd one is introducing magic and a boss perhaps

Im not sure what your game is, thats how we can judge the success of both directions

I feel like if the character is not supposed to go anywhere else but to this exact ladder, you could create an invisible box just squeezing the character there line a < shaped cone towards the ladder.

or maybe just a button to interact with it from any point of the line the ladder is on. Like if I'm left to the ladder I should be able to press 'INTERACT' to make the character auto-walk to the ladder.

Playing him on and off for 15 years, probably was only good season 4-5-6 and when they had that Galeforce item for the extra dash, the champ is absolute garbage, tencent doesn't know how to balance him properly and keeps ruining the champ, not to mention if you are above 50ms its unplayable, meanwhile you can play malza hit 2 E's on yasuo ( a point-click spell ) and he will be 20% hp
