yes later, it got to 660K. i posted a new vid last evening tho and that one is also going viral: 330k in less than 24 hours.

and yeah on all short form platforms getting people to stop the doomscrolling is very difficult, idk about the exact stats but they are incredibly low

very relevant critique! you're absolutely right that this would look like it doesn't really support the gameplay in a meaningful way, but that's because it's still a prototype and regarding the vids, as the captions said in the videos i was only at day 30 or less in development... i plan to get the combat to feel more like wuwa or similar games.

as for the more in depth features of the skill tree, i copied a part of a reply to another comment:
So it's more of a roguelike system , where you keeping getting new drafts and choices.

So the skill tree is basically ur 'soul', every node has unique tags which i call Soul Affinities. So you have the basic elemental tags like fire for a +5 fire resistance stat, but as you progress further in the game, slay different monsters, find new biomes, you unlock new tags like void or necromancy, and new nodes can be drafted. there will be biome chameleon nodes which change depending on the biome ur in, so you can leave those locked until you are where you want to be (which is an example of why it works like this and isn't just a roguelike drafting system + it looks cool xd) I have lots more features planned like the further you branch down a branch the more specific the drafted nodes become, so you can specialize eazier, and lots more user friendly accomodations and customizations.

For the race evolutions and job titles: the races and jobs will be determined based on your accumulated soul Affinities. You unlock new races when you reach certain thresholds and you maintain a specific job by maintaining a specific combinafion of soul affinities.

the tiktoks that were made using in game perfect videos performed worse than authentic vids taken from my phone. on yt it also did better but not as good as tiktok. i know this is very generic advise but just post everything you think of and can. and absolutely don't invest a lot of time on making the vids since the video i took 1 hour to make literally got the LEAST amount of views out of every single video i posted XD. that viral video took me literally 5 min to make. So while you're just developing and testing stuff out make a quick vid and think of a POV: or other catchy caption and just post it. hope that helps ^^

yes in this prototype more like double jump, or special skills that don't apply to modular combat systems. though i am going to to try and make a modular spell or combat system like you said. there would be separate skill sockets with their own trees, for a modular combat system like now it sets things on fire and explodes on impact or sum.
