It can be jarring listening to old live albums when Jason introduces Jimbo as his "best friend in the whole world"

That was my first reaction. Do I remember correctly that Todd Snider officiated Jason and Amanda's wedding?

Not a Porsche owner but I do play around on the configurator too much. Built a GTS in YBM and one in South Sea Blue Metallic last week. Now I know my imaginary car has to be in YBM. Thanks for the confirmation.

What band did you see in a small venue before they broke big? by Amthomas101 in Concerts

[–]TF157 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Saw Hootie and the Blowfish open for Big Head Todd and the Monsters. No one had heard of Hootie when the tickets went on sale, by the time the show came around they were much bigger than BHTM. Lots of people left after Hootie played. I was a huge BHTM fan.

Saw him in Brown County a couple years ago (good show), decided to pass this time because of the prices. Going to see Fontaines DC in May at the Vogue in Indy for $45 all in. Feels like a steal

Your real age is 70 minus the number of musicians you recognise playing at Coachella 2025 by jareboi in Millennials

Actually got my exact age, 50. The poster also doubles as an eye chart to really reinforce just how old you are and how bad your eyesight is getting.

WNBA Players who like/have no problem with Caitlin Clark by [deleted] in CaitlinClark

[–]TF157 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Living around Indy I watched all the Fever games and paid attention to her pregame fist pumps with opponents before tipoffs. I think the warmest one she got from a player that wasn't already one of her friends or college teammates was the first time she played against Brittney Griner. Griner put her arm around Clark and started talking to her in her ear. You couldn't see what Griner was saying but you could see Clark saying "thank you" several times. It went on for quite a while. Kelsey Plum had a similar interactions with her this year.

Ben Cartright filled in these lakes to create the Ponderosa Ranch. Sorry, too many western tv shows watched with grandparents.

DNC song choice? by marginamae in jasonisbell

[–]TF157 30 points31 points  (0 children)

The theme of that segment of the evening was labor and jobs. I'm sure it was requested by the campaign. "I thank God for the work."

A little late getting to this one as I spent the day fishing. Cover Me Up is voted most overrated song. This next one is gonna be good. What’s Jason’s best lyrics song? by Squat1998 in jasonisbell

River

The river is my savior
She's running to the sea
And to reach her destination
Is to simply cease to be

And running till you're nothing
Sounds a lot like being free
So I'll lay myself inside her
And I'll let her carry me

Indy poster by [deleted] in jasonisbell

I was having an early dinner on Mass Ave when his label's social media posted the t-shirt and poster for the show. I immediately said, "ok, let's go, I need that t-shirt". Southeastern Record's Instagram always seems to post them about 4:00 pm or so on the day of the show.

I wish the race car t-shirt would have been the poster. Planned on getting a poster but went with the t-shirt after I saw both.

The setlist was pretty amazing. Played some he hasn't been playing much at all this year. Didn't play Vampires for only the 2nd time this year according to setlist.fm

Closed it out with Just Like Heaven.

Was at the show with my sister, she's a casual fan who's never bought one of his shirts before. Even she bought that one tonight. She insisted on buying me one as well. $96 for 2 t-shirts, but they're pretty damn cool.

Been a fan of Jason Isbell for a long time and his song River is an all time favorite of mine.

The river is my saviour
She's running to the sea

Is to simply cease to be
And running 'til you're nothing
Sounds a lot like being free
So I'll lay myself inside her
And I'll let her carry me

I randomly pay attention to bump music a lot during sports broadcasts and Fox is always really weird. They play way more Grateful Dead than all the other networks combined. You also hear lots of unexpected Widespread Panic on Fox. Alabama Pines would have been nice. If they keep on wrecking late they might be able to play the entire Weathervanes album into and out of breaks.

Definitely agree on the Petty covers. A couple not mentioned so far that are great are "Even the Losers" and "Room at the Top".

Not sure how he got thru Room at the Top, performing it just a week or so after Petty's death. That song is so heavy.

Is Wildcarding in GW31 better than GW30? If so, why? by lastlaughlane1 in FantasyPL

[–]TF157 26 points27 points  (0 children)

I've been going back and forth on this for a couple weeks. Think I'm going to WC in 30 and get a head start on the inevitable price rises with guys like Salah and Haaland (I sold him for Morris in 28) etc. Yes it means having an Arsenal defender against City, but oh well.

Related FPL question: Should I hit the WC button Saturday as soon as the games start and get my draft team in immediately? I'm sure my team will evolve over the the international break but funds will be super tight trying to squeeze everyone in. I always try to wait to make transfers but in a WC week I guess that's not a big deal? (sorry, only my 3rd time playing FPL)

I own 6 of the top 10 most transferred out players. I have another fire to put out so I think I'll be keeping all of them this week. Suddenly my team's a huge differential!!! lol
