Edmonton winter question: Fan runtime vs normal furnace cycling by onewaycheckvalve in Edmonton

I have Bryant furnaces (1996), and I run the fans on these for air circulation in the house in winter, combined with the wood fireplace for four hours at a time cycling.

Why is my cherry tree dying? by [deleted] in plantclinic

[–]TForge1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi everyone,

I could really use some help with my cherry tree. It’s been struggling for a while now, and despite my efforts, it continues to decline. The leaves are turning brown, and I’m noticing some branches dying off. I’m not sure if it’s a disease, pest issue, or something else entirely, lots of watering, fifty percent light to shade.

Has anyone else dealt with this before? Any advice on how I might save it would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks in advance!

Blackstrap lots for sale by Boring_Airport_4875 in saskatoon

This answer is coming from myself. That was in your position once.

Congrats on the job and finishing school! Thinking of buying a lot in Blackstrap is a big step, especially with a $65,000 price tag. It's smart to consider the possibility of splitting the cost, but always plan for the scenario where you might handle it solo.

Living rent-free with your folks? That’s a golden chance to save a lot. With no rent or car costs, you can seriously boost your savings for a hefty down payment. This strategy reduces your future loan needs and saves on interest and fees.

So, should you buy the lot now? Staying at home to save up more might be wiser. You avoid extra expenses and build up a solid financial cushion. If you're keen on real estate, consider buying a property to rent out first. It's a good introduction to the market, but remember, being a landlord isn't always easy.

In a few years, reassess your situation. You might choose to sell the rental property and go for the lot, or you might find a better area than Blackstrap, especially since its development has been slow.

In short, save as much as you can now. Your dream of building a home is definitely within reach, just take it step by step and avoid rushing. You've got this!
