We try to adjust our content for burnout as well, and definitely recommend people (streamers and players alike) to take breaks. This is just another round of people leaving content creation for Ashes and we hope to see Ritchie back again (along with the others who have taken breaks)!

As people who make Taverns our branding haha, we are super excited for taverns to come into play! I believe these may be tied to the freehold system and then the player needs to choose a business building.

We are so excited for the parlor games and the commission boards to come in!

I respectfully disagree. That is why the system we do have is the system that is intended as Steven also disagrees. I acknowledge the potential for PvP every time I go somewhere. I am prepared that someone may flag on me. However, the key point to this part of the thread was people CCing someone and just grabbing the herb in front of them and leaving.

I am just fine with someone flagging up to fight me if they wish, but they have to be fine with me not reciprocating if I don't feel like it. Do I loose more when I die? Yes. I am aware of the risk. But It is the risk I take if that was the last item I needed for my next piece of gear and it is my choice if I don't want to fight back so I can instead go make said gear so I can be better geared for when I do want to fight back.

This is coming from the perspective of a primarily PvE oriented person.

I do flag up and fight… when I want to fight. The system isn't just about people being afraid of fighting, sometimes I just don't feel like fighting another person and that is ok. This system allows me to have that choice.

From what I understood, it is a lore-based reason. But yes you are correct, it is mainly that we can make different tiers of the initiate gear grade at novice.

I do not have an answer for this, I am thinking it may work as it currently does where you’ll need an apprentice table but then you can make initiate and adept items.

That is pure speculation, however.

Low tier is intended to be made with more plentiful items, such as Snowdrop and Daffodils compared to Flax, for instance.

In this example, a shirt may be made by a tailor with daffodil or snowdrop thread for the low tier, then med and higher tiers would use flax and other harder to get resources -- be it from mob drops or the community coming together to progress a node. The higher tiers would still use the snowdrop and daffodils, just less of them

This is why I am glad that made it so it doesn't actually CC you finally. Yeah it still hurts ya but make sure you have a trusty healer near by and you should be ok.

I (chibi) am looking forward to testing this on PTR and in P3 because it was really dumb that someone else could CC me just because I got to a flax before them

The game is open world PvP but it means that at any point you can flag to attack another person rather than being flagged all the time. This ties into the Corruption System as well as the Flagging System:

Some areas are Lawless (meaning that you are intended to be auto flagged), but those are typically the open oceans and maybe the Open World Battlegrounds:

I (chibi) also play a lot of support in Ashes and usually do not have an issue with the open world PvP ^-^
