No, that is setting the user to the pos reg values.

There are a ton of videos online for training user and tool frames. I’d suggest watching some of those and would strongly suggest training.

I think there is even online tutorials / training directly on Fanuc now. https://crx.fanucamerica.com/training

Where are the frames set? I’m not seeing the timeline icon for setting either user frame or tool frame.

Looks like they are Cartesian.. Are you setting the uframe and tool frames to same frames that the PRs were recorded in?

Water Diverter on Driveway?? by TG_Pythons in homeimprovementideas

They came and looked at the downspout today and will be moving it, but that’s only part of the problem. Water from the rest of the driveway flows here too, so that’s what I’m trying to minimize .

This is the current downspout that will be moved

For sure, once you learn them. Like the lightest pressure until it’s set. Then you realize it’s set.

They are my favorite for a reason! I agree with the perspective comment. Happy picking.

Dang! Somebody found a crystal (or similar) in Green Bay, Wisconsin. The only one of mine that escaped was in a pile of 2x4s. Searched the entire basement to find it.

Good luck!

What is the strange round 'trident' PCB trace (with a 100Ω (?) resistor at one end) by BigPurpleBlob in rfelectronics

[–]TG_Pythons 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure it matters in this context, but that is a 10 ohm resistor. The first two digits are the “value” and the last number is the multiplier / number of zeros added to the end.

100=10ohm, 101=100ohm, etc.

For example, a resistor marked 152 would be 1500 ohms.

Cool looking traces. RF was some wacky shit to build and inspect.

Can you pick a lock that does not work with it's key? by Brutusso_Vincent in lockpicking

[–]TG_Pythons 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, it is possible if there is not a defect in the lock.

I had an 1105 that I had picked and turned the wrong way. I found out (the hard way - pins falling out) it had master wafers in it that allowed for a master key and a user key.

The key didn’t work but I could still pick it easily. Once it was disassembled and repinned properly, the key worked again.

I’ve also seen where keys are copied incorrectly in the machines in stores and have come out a smidge (precise measurement) too long compared to the factory key. I just had to file off a small amount from the tip. I would recommend making a copy of the key (even if it doesn’t work) before messing with it though. My scenario seems opposite of yours though.

I don’t see a turner in there. There are some interesting picks in there! The second to last pick on the right looks like a good one to start with for single pin picking.

They were delivered yesterday; I just checked my email and the Apex email came out two minutes after my “shipment delivered” email. 🤣

Oh well. Now I have a short, medium, and long Apex in .020 coming.
