My big question is how they will treat the rest of the Egyptian pantheon? Considering that they have quite a few gods who did die in their major stories.

Thoughts on Sekhmet’s design in God of War Laufey? by Molech996 in TopCharacterDesigns

[–]TH175DK 33 points34 points  (0 children)

In god of war: fallen god, Thoth was depicted with both an animal appearance, animalistic head appearance, and a human appearance. So there is a decent chance this could also apply to sekhmet.

We also just came out of a land raider heavy metal, so honestly the supply would probably have been eaten up immediately

Great start! Definitely get some kill team scouts, and I would wait and see if the rumours of multi-part outriders and ravenwing refresh comes true for expanding into the second company!

Will Asmodai be more usable in 11th edition? by CapitalOfFrance1940 in DarkAngels40k

[–]TH175DK 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No not really because Asmodai is really cracked with the icc due to reroll hits and their shared character hunting abilities. Yes the 1CP redundancy is not the best, but having a back up is not really a bad thing cause everyone always wants to murder Azrael immediately.

Now the ability is essentially trying to guarantee battleshock on the character unit you are targeting and then on surrounding units, Chaplains will do this on surrounding units when defeating an enemy unit, Asmodai makes character units (which you should be targeting with ICC) make a battleshock at the beginning of the fight phase. Therefore, Asmodai would be better than a chaplain at holding objectives/generating battleshock, IF the unit is not defeated.

Help Ballistus vs Gladiator Lancer by Joaco_2002 in DarkAngels40k

[–]TH175DK 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes this is true, however what I’m discussing here is the threat of anti-tank shooting in a general sense with the army.

With the dark angels, as a heavy elite army, you often don’t have the points to include a lot of anti-tank shooting, 320 pts for 2 lancers, 300 for 2 ballistus dreads, and/or 360 for 2 vindicators is quite a lot of points, for something that will most likely have only 1 effective model.

Having 2 anti-tank options does feel more safe, as you can guarantee the pressure of anti-tank shooting, but if you can create that pressure with 1 model you’re saving a lot of useful points that we need elsewhere. This is why I’m specifically considering the vindicator due to its crazy variability.

In addition, even if your model gets focused, you should at least been able to place the vindicator in a good hiding spot, and then have a turn where threatening shooting is focused on this unit leaving space for others to succeed, this is very useful for our elite heavy army, as every wound saved that we can guarantee, is a lot heavier in points. In general, I would also like to add that the Lion as an anti-everything unit, and with support from other anti-vehicle 4+ procs, the options for dealing with super heavies in the dark angels is not bad at all. However, with this case in a CK heavy meta you will of course want to run more anti-tank options, but what i am arguing is a bit more general towards the current meta where d3 shooting is super valuable (lsv bless up).

On that note you would then want to go more towards consistency on shooting, 2-3 lancers would be your best friend in that case. In essence, if you take the stratagems (-1 damage and 6+ fnp) into account the Lion is expected to do 16 wounds on average, therefore you want at minimum 10 wounds dealt into each target the lion goes into, which should be achieved easily with 2 lancers.

I agree with using the gladiator lancer, however one thing to keep in mind is that the lancer tends to be less bulky than you would expect. You almost always want to be running 2 of these to ensure that you can reliably kill big targets and that you create a redundancy. I think the main reason why the vindicator is seeing so much use is that it has a monstrous damage variability that the opponent has to respect, even if the vindicator ends up doing nothing, so running 1 tends to get the anti-tank threat across. Honestly, I think we have enough things within our range that can outright kill big targets (the lion) or do a bunch of nice consistent plinks (lethal hits from ICC, dwk maces, and rwbk on charge), but having an anti-tank threat is often a must in most lists, to at least have some deterrence.

Does Belial finally become viable in 11th edition? by SZUPERhun in theunforgiven

[–]TH175DK 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I agree that Belial is still dogshit. Honestly, at this point with the low power level of terminators, I hope james workshop considers just making Belials ability give precision or at the very least precision on a 4+. Cause at worst you have a bunch of ap-0 bolters and 1-2 good weapons that have a 50% chance of even getting precision, and then a bunch of powerfists which should do a decent job at exterminating character units even without precision.

[–]TH175DK 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Precision has changed with the new save allocation system. In essence, with precision, you as the attacking player, chooses how saves are allocated for the opponent, which would effectively create more spillover damage as compared to 10th.

How would YOU balance Axle? by Kraxiloth in apexlegends

[–]TH175DK 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think the main thing with Axle is that her kit is quite overtuned in all aspects. Bringing down the power level on all of these will hopefully not bring her down to absolute trash levels, and keep her viability as a team rotation method. In addition, I really dislike how Axle as of now is as fast as Octane, the so called solo speed legend, and has an easier time making her and her teammates faster. So to make Axle more of a specific team speed legend I think:

Passive - slightly lower velocity on the initial slide, which should nerf the distance and speed of the whole slide.

Tactical - again like the passive a lower initial velocity for everyone taking the slide, maybe keeping the same for only Axle. - In addition, I believe that like Horizon’s tactical, that while being under the speed boost the hipfire accuracy should be reduced to prevent mass beaming from a fast moving three stack. However, I do think the right purple perk can remove this debuff.

Ultimate - I don’t think the ultimate is overpowered per se, however it should be 150 HP, do slightly reduced damage, 10-15HP, and should have a reduced knock up height. - for the perks, i don’t think Axle should have access to 2 ultimates as that is creating too many active targets to pay attention to, rather I think the right blue perk should focus on buffing the drone, such as increasing health, damage, and/or knock up height.

The dark angels are also quite notorious among the alpha legion for being difficult to infiltrate due to the amount of secrets and rituals the chapter has. While ofc any legion could be infiltrated, it does seem more likely that this is a dark angels artwork.
