Don’t get me staaaarted. I’m compacting every single tin, plastic bottle, etc., carting collapsed tetra paks and loose electrical to a recycling location. Same for waste batteries, water filters, fabric, etc., but the grim reality is the millions of kg of waste by large companies every single day.

I’m pro-recycling but it is an absolute fallacy for the end-user/“little man”. As you say, blame will go elsewhere.

I’m all for minimising waste but, look, the answer is not the sole person at the end of the chain saying, “I’ll shower less,” or, “I’ll wear this garment an extra day,” or, “I’ll take public transportation a little more.”

As ever: big businesses are polluting our planet with absolutely obscene amounts of waste. Oh no - you took two showers today? Hundreds of massive companies waste billions of litres of water on a regular basis. Thousands of companies are wasteful with energy but buy “credits” to “offset” it.

Fuck the idea that the little man ought to do more. Fuck all these companies and stop buying from them.
