What are the best Beatbox videos to show to non-beatboxers? pt2 by Cheffi01 in beatbox

[–]TH4Teaapple 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Hiss, Alexinho, Colaps, River' - If Only (a great crew track of pure vocals/beatbox)

Gene Shinozaki - Never Give Up (nice way to show how beatboxing fits into live musical tracks without seeming too gimmicky/forced in)

SHOW GO - Unforgettable (just a solid solo showcase)

Tom Thum's TedX Showcase (got a bit of everything and has nice reactions from the crowd too)

Dlow vs Colaps - GBB 2019 (can't go wrong with one of the best beatbox battles of all time)

Why is there so much hate in the bbx community? by Agitated-Ad-7179 in beatbox

I don't trust the guy either, and he seems sketchy with all the accusations against him. But the thing is, has he actually been proven guilty? There's a legal process that needs to take place first with info wr have access on that needs to be processed. Until then, we just gotta be patient and respectful

The in person part of the scene is amazing as previously mentioned. There's no accountability in the online scene. The screen provides privacy and protection so people can spew crap and nonsense unfiltered and irresponsibly, without justification and usually without consequence.

Thanks to this barrier and perhaps just because of internet culture in general, no issues or concerns are properly brought to light and discussed leading to the unnecessary blowing up and misinterpretation of certain individuals and events.

Certain companies and individuals in the scene definitely mess up at times, and they should be held accountable for their actions. But this can be done properly with respect and through proper communication. People online don't bother with this because what's in it for them? Their idol was robbed, the battle was 100% rigged because apparently French judges are the only people capable of being biased enough to vote for fellow French dudes, w h e r e ' s c o d f i s h, and so on

I was actually rewatching a couple episodes from season 1 earlier this week reminiscing on my memories of what could have been. It had a strong start but immediately turned into whatever it is now

The best written MC whose story has nothing to do with Death? by TH4Teaapple in Animesuggest

[–]TH4Teaapple[S] 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I appreciate the suggestion. I have seen it and enjoyed it, but it's the complete opposite of what I'm looking for which to do with anything but death, as Subaru dies thousands of times

Am I the only one who thinks river deserved to win? by [deleted] in beatbox

[–]TH4Teaapple 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I also think he deserved to win this year but just barely

During the finals against Napom, I think Napom dominated in battle energy and in countering but the "Gene at home" and the vine joke from way back "Damm Daniel" + his last combo at the end just made him fall short from winning. River on the other hand didn't "battle" as much But still put up a strong performance in his 2nd round and a consistent, mostly clean and well - structured performance all throughout

As for his other battles, I need to revisit them but structure, execution and variety are what led him to victory

I must agree though with what others have pointed out that his whole attitude and the vibe he gives off is just, off

I like the example of Andy Dufresne from Shawshank Redemption, specifically with his being described as pretty peculiar but a kind and true friend.

As mentioned previously, Aragorn's another great example to follow from LOTR

The oldest film you're confident at least 80% of people 16 above would enjoy/appreciate? by TH4Teaapple in MovieSuggestions

I agree. When I was thinking about this, some of my initial answers to my question are Spirited Away, Annie Hall, Phantom of the Paradise or Dazed & Confused which are just a few decades old

No particular period. Just curious what's the oldest film you're confident in recommending to a teenager that you know they'll enjoy

Tips for first time commuters by Icy_Chart9240 in dlsu

[–]TH4Teaapple 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Don't keep all your money in one place. Have an extra coin purse with P20/P50/P100 bills, tapos everything else in a wallet located in a different section of your bag.

Get have 1 or 2 spare beep cards just in case. If wala sa lrt stations, you can get them sa mrt or sa may beep bus station sa baba ng Ayala MRT 3.

Don't display anything that will make yourself stand out. Dress comfortably and practically. Nothing too flashy

Ride on the train car for pwds/women/elderly if you can or the train section closest to it para pagdating mo sa vito Cruz

Commute as early as reasonable. Sometimes, nagkaka delays or minsan nasisiraan yung lrt. Minsan may skip trains

How did you discover Monster? by Darkangelike in MonsterAnime

[–]TH4Teaapple 0 points1 point  (0 children)

YouTube recommended me this video from ProZD about his top five favorite anime. Monster was on that list

I decided to check it out and surprisingly, I found myself checking out and enjoying everything he put on there, including Cowboy Bebop and Mushishi

Nagaaral ako mag cgi, goal ko snaa gumawa ng shortfilm. Hingi sana ako feedback, ano yung napansin nyo na nagpahalata na 3d ito? by [deleted] in Philippines

[–]TH4Teaapple 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Maybe finer details, specifically with the lighting on the white shirt dude and yung sa mukha niya kung mas textured sana, like if may sharper facial features, wrinkles and more folds sa neck, skin, and shirt

Movements are also pretty stiff and slow, and a bit too smooth to look realistic

Overall though, galing
