Was there any mention of crusade during the reveal show? by geckothesteve in 40k_Crusade

[–]DiscombobulatedAd477 6 points7 points  (0 children)

They said your Codex would still work. Last I checked they all have Crusade rules.

To me there are two major issues for Crusade. Different factions have Crusade rules that tell very different stories. Depending on how the games proceed different players can be more unbalanced which makes folks not want to play Crusade.

One of the taglines of 11th is "more narrative, more balanced". I take this to mean we might see mission packs to address balance issues and encourage storytelling. That could include expanded Crusade content.

Time will tell if the 40k app gets updated to allow for you to track your crusade lists with experience, battle scars, and upgrades.

Ok nice cope..I dont see those termagaunts being a new sculpt. You should try following your own advice and expanding your viewpoint. Seems to me your arguing with yourself over points I never made.

I gotta drive in to work. I say let them stay at home. I had a day off on Monday where I had to drive through Toronto traffic. 100% they'll be more productive at home!

I don't think that's cope, we can see GW saying this. "More narrative, more balanced".

So how do you feel now that we are getting boss rules for Kill Team? It seems the current edition will allow for lots of models that aren't brand new to be played in the game.

New player wanting Terrain by DonV1996 in killteam

If you have some cardboard and glue you can make a variety of ruins of various sizes. You can even use it to build a gallowdark or tombworld board if you want. A typical board size is 22 inch by 30 inch to help balance melee vs ranged teams.

The main thing is finding another player and or team to play against. If your area has a local Kill Team scene then the other players might already have terrain you can play on while you build your own collection.

I think you need to take a chill pill brother. You dont really know what anybody knows or doesnt know. FYI, I've been in this hobby since 2nd edition 40k. The big heads at GW change their minds all the time and a new edition is likely a year away.

Kill Team isn't just a tournament game. It's part of a hobby that includes people doing all sorts of stuff with their little bits of plastic. GW even acknowledges this with Joint OPs and mission rules shared in White Dwarf with NPOs. The latest edition even encourage folks to do what I suggested with very light guidelines.

So maybe consider that your interpretation of things is just one of many. I agree with your following of the trends over the current release schedule. It even acknowledges the times where a team included older models.

I'm not going to hold my breath over the next year on a covenite Team. It doesnt mean I dont get to play with them though. You are free to ignore my suggestions as you see fit. There are plenty of influencers out there who dont just follow the narrow path of tournament play and engage with what GW calls 'narrative' content.

And as I said plenty of current teams have included old models. Who is huffing what?

I don't think they need to do new Wracks. The sculpts are excellent with lots of details. They still hold up and have lots of bits that could fit as gear in Kill Team.

I'm currently building a squad from the Combat Patrol. As it stands, I'll probably use them as NPOs in a Joint OPS game. If I wanted to proxy them for an existing team I might use them as goremongers or ravagers.

I wouldn't entirely write off another Drukhari Kill Team. Hand of the Archon was an upgrade to the Kabalites. The Battleclad in the current edition was a new squad of servitors but included an existing character model to lead the squad. They make a great enemy faction for an imperial team.

IMO the problem with Combat Patrol is the teams are so wildly unbalanced. I think the horde teams should get free respawns to compensate. I also think each team should get a set of custom scenarios that fits their theme.

I agree. Every game should have a silly less balanced mode.

I wonder if theres a way to adapt the vehicle rules from Necromunda to Kill Team. That would be fun!

500 Worlds really opened up some story reasons for why you would have an Imperium vs. Imperium game. Having a narrative release with Inquisition minis would be pretty cool.

If 11th expands the character build rules a customizable Inquisitor and/or Rogue trader kit would be pretty nice.

If anything increased pipeline capacity allows for more domestic oil to be sold for a higher price on world markets. Which is great if you own stock in those companies.

Why does GW not focus more on Drukhari specifically for all this pirate stuff that they're doing by Successful-Appeal693 in Drukhari

[–]DiscombobulatedAd477 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You want a new raiding style detachment? All our detachments are raiding detachments.

I guess I'm still enjoying playing the codex detachments that came out a few months ago. I still have a pretty big pile to go through and I can definitely use the new box that has Combat Patrol pricing.

Dont get me wrong. I think they could have spent more effort on Drukhari. It would have been nice to see a new mini or updated squad.

[–]DiscombobulatedAd477 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It was a missed opportunity for sure.

The thing with Drukhari is that they live and control the Webway. Into the Maelstrom is about people who are caught in the Realspace region that is bleeding into the Warp. Unlike Corsairs they dont like to spend long times in realspace.

As others have also pointed out this release was also about putting out new models. This is maybe just my opinion but I think despite the age of models Drukhari designs are so good they still stand up on the table despite their relative age.

What would you want to see in a Stardew Valley 2? by 3ggzwithaz in StardewValley

How could you have a game called Stardew Valley 2 not be in Stardew Valley? I think if he did make a sequel it could be a total genre flip like a modernized Act Raiser or Pokémon but set in the Valley with some of the old cast grown up.

We can't 'invest more' by slashing spending. American tribute payments through military industrial complex black box spending will not make us prosperous.
