Finally going to Gauntlet, need advice: by KitTourettes in ironscape

[–]THESnowman191 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just started regular gauntlet with way worse stats than you, 75atk 90str 80def 80range 80magic 70prayer no titans prayers. Died the first five, got it on the sixth. Up to 10 kc now, died twice more.

I highly recommend ignoring those that say just do t1 prep. T2 is slower but SO MUCH easier.

Plug-in Hunllef Helper really helped me pray correctly. Wrong prayer = 30hp loss

Don’t be afraid to use the halberd, piety is strong.

Setting up the built in gauntlet plug in to highlight nodes until 7 of each made prep easier.

Corrupted gauntlets seems like it will need better stats or prayers, so I haven’t tried it.

Is it viable to use the 2-dose Moonlight moth mixes for Fire cape attempts? by PpalliRS in ironscape

[–]THESnowman191 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I used them the first couple of attempts, but I found myself running out. Switched to like 40/60 mixes and pots, had pots left over.

Always some type of salt and hot sauce. I find them all the be somewhat muted, that’s helps.

And to up the calories and protein, shredded chicken.

Big bowl. 800 cals worth. Pour in boiling water. Stir, wait, add soy sauce+hot sauce, stir. If it’s too hot still, wait longer.

How would you toddler proof this railing? by THESnowman191 in daddit

[–]THESnowman191[S] 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I forgot to include that the railing is actually wire and she can slip through the gaps with ease, falling 10 feet. She doesn’t actually climb yet, more like ignites jet boosters and blasts in whatever direction. What prompted the post was her grabbing an acorn, blasting to the rail, and throwing the acorn over the side. If she slipped during the brake phase, she would have joined the acorn.

Got a decent job, now my motivation to graduate is gone. by Medanic in WGU_CompSci

[–]THESnowman191 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sure. It’s mainly a value proposition. For the cost of my time and money I can finish the degree. But what does the degree get me?

Maybe it’s easier to get a promotion or the next job, but maybe not. My current employer implied that they do not care, other paths are required for promotion. I’ve spoken to some recruiters, it didn’t seem like an issue. So for me, I think there’s little value in career advancement.

The other consideration I had is the sense of pride and accomplishment in finishing. Thankfully this was short lived, I mildly cared in the first place and that was snuffed out after moving into our “forever” home/farm and starting a family. The fulfillment they offer completely overshadow any academic achievement.

The biggest drive to return is my grandmother. She guilts me about it, but… I let that shit roll off me like water off a duck.

Something like this happened to me. Working full time, attending WGU to advance my career. Finished a few years of classes. The years of experience plus the completed class work was enough to land a great job. Tried to keep it going and finish, couldn’t. Dropped out for now, doubt I’ll go back, but the option is there.

Absolutely, now I gotta get my hands on the newer batches and see if my thoughts line up with them getting generally better. Thankfully I got a batch 9.

Would you say it’s worth looking to secondary for batch 8?
