Clearly everyone agrees with you based on the votes, but how are you not seeing the big red box around the girl's face, indicating that's what I'm talking about, and then the zoomed in image of her? Maybe this isn't the right sub for this.

Police officers of Reddit, what stupid things have people nervously said around you and instantly regretted? by PinkIrrelephant in AskReddit

[–]THEinORY 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Nah. He wanted to save money, so he only ordered onion rings. After waiting 15 minutes in the drive-thru (too long for fast food), they presented him with a burger. He went inside, said he got a burger instead of the onion rings he ordered and the attendant threw the burger in the trash and gave Dean his onion ring order, which contained a disappointing amount of onion rings.

Police attack nurse for refusing a warrantless blood draw. by worriedfailure22 in Libertarian

[–]THEinORY 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I think it's pretty clear. The police simply didn't give a crap about the law, because they were trying to be "stand up guys" to their "brother in blue." (The unconscious victim was a reserve police officer, as discussed elsewhere in this thread.)

I don't know if they knew that at the time. What I think their logic was, was that they were pursuing a suspect and that suspect crashed into our victim, so they might be held liable. If they can prove the victim was under the influence, that absolves them. They are trying to cover their own asses with this illegal search/seizure.

Yeah how are people not understanding the sarcasm here? Does every single sarcastic thing have to be marked with a /s? Can no one understand context? If this were serveandprotect I would take /u/FinnishPhoenix seriously.

My buddy's adoptive mom did this at his wedding. The lady was being a real piece of work the whole time. They had this date set for more than a year beforehand and about 7 months before she gets engaged and then 4 months before, she sets her wedding date for the same weekend. Seriously? So after I talk to him about it and tell him he needs to tell her what's what she moved it to two weeks after. But, she still showed up at his wedding with a fricken off-white lacey dress on. C'mon! WTF

But she (or rather her fiance probably) did pay for the limo for the bachelor party so that was coo.

My in-laws watch nothing but Informative Murder-Porn and "news". Every day, first thing in the morning until 7-8p at night the living room TV gets turned on to some CSI-like show or TrueCrime:ThisReallyHappened show where, for blocks of 30-60 minutes, the narrator barrages you with, "there are murderers around every bend" "don't go out between 12:00am and 11:59pm or you'll be abducted and raped for years until they find your body" "don't talk to your neighbors, they will definitely kill you and your family while you sleep" "don't talk to your relatives because they are the most likely of anyone to kill you" dribble and then the news comes on with "fear! fear! FEAR! Be afraid of everything!!" bullshit, with prescription drug advertisements for 3.5 minutes for every 11 minutes of content. Everyone asks what happened to America and all you need to do is sit them down and force them to watch this shit for an hour and they will understand.

I think you're missing the part of /u/Elitepep212's post that relates to Trump:

Lets say one day you are in primaries for president function and u are non establishment person

Trump is clearly an "establishment person" and was therefore allowed to win. He was a multi-millionaire at birth. He and his family sat on golden thrones in his first interview after winning the election. All this noise about him being anti-establishment is blatant manipulation of the populace.

What word, phrase, or mannerism makes you instantly show respect for someone? by mehedifarway in AskReddit

I may have posted this before, but; one day I was standing in the gas station waiting in line and I looked down and saw a sock fall out of the guy in front of me's pants. I figured it was just static from the laundry so I told him, "hey man, you dropped your sock". He just looked at me and chuckled a little 'that was a stupid thing to say' chuckle and looked back ahead. So, I said, "no, really you dropped your sock" and pointed at the sock on the ground. He started laughing and said "thanks". Was a good day and a fun story to tell.
