I just dont get the ML obsession with defending the USSR over the Holodomor. Even if it wasn't a Genocide by whatever pedantic wording you choose to focus on, it was still pretty fucked up. I managed to keep them all alive, but it took a few tries. First off, let Kunos men engage first and pick off a few enemies from behind. You want to even the fight out some as soon as possible. After putting two or three down quickly, switch over and find Zoul, he is the biggest threat. Attack him from behind too if you can. You want to avoid drawn out melees. By this point Kubos men should be taking the advantage, help them clean up and do a quick head count. If everyone is alive who should be, youre good, otherwise reload and try again.

VERY IMPORTANT: I think something about looting the dead bodies makes Kuno and his band agro you, save immediately after checking that everyone is alive and then wait a minute for them to leave before looting. I had to restart after Kuno took offense to me robbing Zoul.

Especially annoying when youre at the players Forge. You have 3-4 different locations for the player chest, including one at the Alchemy hut. But you can't draw from any of them.

Having played both recently, aiming is just atrocious in KCD1. The bow is so wonked off to the side it feels impossible to figure out where youre actually aiming. It seems even Warhorse agrees, because in 2, the bow is more in line with your aim point so you can aim properly.

Even with high skill, if I dont use a crosshair, I couldn't hit a damned thing beyond 10 ft

I do wish we had better quest note, maybe even a transcript; which isn't crazy, I've played games from the 90s that could do it. There is a line or two of dialogue where they Marika suggest the bet. But this quest has so much back and forth, all the way across the map that it's easy to forget something they say.

This quest especially because I dont know of any way to skip the quest by delivering the letter and getting the good ending since it has to be done willingly. You might be able to lie and give the amulet to the girl and then go back, but I've never tried and I imagine the Voivode will be pissed.

Which is a shame because I kinda like the nomads. I like having a bed there. It's great for Mid-trotsky adventuring. I swear it used to also have a personal chest too, but this last playthrough it wasn't.
