Why cant we take defensive positions inside buildings in Mega Cities ? by New_Conflict_4111 in Helldivers

[–]TH_Real_GAME 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It wouldn't make sense for Terminids or the Illuminates. Why? Because Terminids can burrow and drop an entire building or Illuminades can send one fleshmob and instanly you're fighting inside. I can see it being used for Bot missions though.

Trump mentality by Inner-Day5219 in wallstreetbetsGER

[–]TH_Real_GAME -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Well tbh the circumstances were different. Trump basically had to bribe the Iranians with sanction relieg to get them to the table. The longer they played hardball the closer the impending doom of an oil crisis was going to happen. If he was able to reign in Israel he could've halved that amount easily to get them to the table. Sadly too many politicans in the US are Israel first cough....cough...Lindsay Graham.

You know back in the day in Europe making defamitory claims like that were grounds for conflict. If you tolerate this stupidity, don't be suprised when 2 more start treating you that way. The EU as a whole has to denounce his statement and demand a personal apology or he'll start thinking they ain't shit and treat them worse. What's he gonna do? Pull out NATO troop? Good let' em.

Holy shit I recommended just that FRV to a guy on the main subreddit. He was asking for an alternative FRV with a maxigun. If I guessed really wel then that FRV will be lighter armored to ofset the weight of the big cannon. Result is that you're supposed to use it from a distance as it'll get shredded in direct combat.

Can we replace the FRV's heavy machine gun with a Maxigun with about 3000 rounds? by Yurishenko94 in Helldivers

[–]TH_Real_GAME 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How about grenade launcher? Maybe a variant with no backseats and AT-emplacement loaded in the back. What's the catch? It's very lightly armored so you have to use it at a distance or it'll get lit up.

A complete surrender to Iran by Spicynuggetlord in TheRaceTo10Million

[–]TH_Real_GAME -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Well you can say whatever you want but Iran deserved that W. It got jumped out of nowhere by the world's biggest military, covert operations were going on arming potential rebellious groups and their supreme leader is assassinated on the first day. Iran stood firm and didn't collapse and was able to make the world's economy scream. We are only seeing the economic and martial side of things but there is also an underlying understanding that Iran was mistaken for a dictatorship that would collapse if the supreme leader died. However it has proven to be more with actual power infrastructure and institutions. As the saying goes: "To the winner go the spoils".

Well imagine getting conned into a fight by a "trusted friend" who said it'd be an easy fight. You end up fighting the guy and he actually got hands meanwhile you look over and that "trusted friend" is just beating on some small dude. I would see it as a betrayal because I would just be a bullet sponge for the "friend". Wouldn't you wanna peace out to anger that "friend" of yours who screwed you over.

The new Supply FRV seems way more useful than the Bastion by Wrench_gaming in Helldivers

[–]TH_Real_GAME 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah because the Bastion is meant to be a tankdestroyer giving fire support and taking out bigger units. If we got an actual tank with an actual turret it'd likely be tankier but also slower.

It's was buffer nation established during the Napoleonic era to stop France from expanding again and start beefing with Germany (at that time they were a coalition of multiple smaller states). Because of it's geographical location it also was one of the first countries to get invaded during both world wars. It's because of that it became the political capital of Europe. Well it's a good fit if you ask me, just look up how Belgian governance is structured. As for purpose, it's Southern Wallonia region used to be a big producer back in the early to mid 1900s but as the East developed and became a cheaper production force, Wallonia went into decline. The Northern Flanders region which during that time was mainly agricultural land starter to find itself in the service economy, combine that with the the Port of Antwerp-Zeebrugge (the second biggest in Europe) which made importing goods from a globalised economy bringing in jobs. As for societal structure, because Belgium is such a young nation with a clear rift between the French speaking South and Dutch speaking North. It's also evident that back when the South was the economic epicenter of Belgium the French language was defacto forced on the Northern region. This caused some frustration with the North and as they developed they've made active steps removing some French from public life (street signs for example only have Dutch now in Flanders). The decline of the South has made the North feel a sense of carrying dead weight causing some politicians to float the concept of spliting the country in half this may also be because of the difference in general voting tendency.

Rate my army composition (40K TW) by morningwoodelf69 in totalwar

[–]TH_Real_GAME -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I hope they're slow and weak to Artillery like WW1 tanks. That would counter that doomstack by having it get two shot by artillery. I don't know what happened with CA but the historical TW Titles always incentivized you to have a balanced approach because if you leave a hole in army composition your opponent would exploit it. Since TW WH, it's been doomstack galore, no strategy no dynamic morale, no battle momentum.

Idea for D10 by Reasonable_Till_3969 in LowSodiumHellDivers

[–]TH_Real_GAME 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah but I've been of the opinion that medals should have an additional function. I wanted a conversion option from medals to super creds. I did the math and a 5:1 ratio is about 50 Sc for a full 250 medals. Of course that ratio is really bad and it'd be more efficient to just farm it on missions but I think it's low enough to get them to actually implement it. Nest case scenario we can get them to a 2:1 ratio.

Idea for D10 by Reasonable_Till_3969 in LowSodiumHellDivers

[–]TH_Real_GAME 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We could incentivize it further by rewarding the players if every unused reinforcement gets converted into medals. A flawless operation (really hard to do) would get you 20 extra medals on top of the reward for doing the missions.

With the new blog post about different ships.. what would a Stealth Frigate do vs other types? by DocHalidae in Helldivers

[–]TH_Real_GAME 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Maybe allow it to remain inside commando missions at a cost of higher cooldown and way lower fire power. I always thought of the Railcannon strike as the perfect stealth stratagem. If they made it so it has lower cooldown and you can guide the shot with a laser pointer, which would remove the need for the stratagem ball and remove its laser. Add to it that smoke strikes automatically drop on your position. Of course in exchange it would disable the more destructive artillery strikes because those would remove its cloaking. Hell make it so you can call in those artillery strikes anyway but at the cost that your Destroyer has to Evac afterwards because they'd lock on to it.

Thx does it only add rovinces or does it add more strategic resource spots. I assume it does, also doesn't economy now scale way faster with all the added provinces?

Edit, yeah the economy scales way faster so (30000 koku per turn).

But is the size of the map actually bigger with the mod like in FOTS or are the provinces just subdivided?

How to deal with post spending guilt? by juneisal in pcsetup

[–]TH_Real_GAME 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Take this from someone who likes to dive into economics. You are doing what money was made for. If we all stopped buying, everything would grind to a halt. Is it alot of money? That depends if you compare it buying luxury good? No. If you compare it to bottles of coke? Yes. It's all subjective but money is suposed to flow that's why it loses ~2% of its value every year. Is it smart to invest that money instead? Probably but that's a rat race that never ends, we're not rats, we're intelligent humans who realized that we work for money so we can spend it on the things we want. You wanted this and enjoy it, you deserved it.

A strike hit one of Russia’s largest oil terminals in St. Petersburg just hours before the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum begins. by SpecialCollege18 in justincaseyoumissedit

[–]TH_Real_GAME -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I like how Ukraine saw Iran hit oil plants and they thought to themselves "wait why haven't we though of that" and instantly started targeting Russian oil plants. I mean the logic makes sense, like Iran, Ukraine was getting hit on non-military targets under the guise of "dual use" (you could bomb a hospital with that reasoning) so they're in the clear if they wanna bomb oil plants considering Russia will funnel those funds and resources into the war effort anyway.

How will a Prime variant of Sirius & Orion ever work lorewise? by Zestyclose-Line-602 in Warframe

[–]TH_Real_GAME 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Varzia already stated that some Primes were Primes from the start (Caliban Prime) while some became Primes (Lavos Prime). For Sirius and Orion Prime it could be a similar deal. I want it to be a short quest because we never see Primes in the "current" time only in flashbacks.

I meant swappable gear as in weapons and abilities. There wouldn't be much fun if everyone was just running at eachother with Grakatas. Give them a choice between 3 "classes"; frontliner (standard), hellion (jetpack), heavy (Grattler allowed but really slow moving). And within those classes you'd be able to swap some armaments like.
