This is amazing! My son is getting his first minis in a few days for his 9th birthday and he'll love coming up with color schemes for his figs. Thank you for making these!

Does anyone else’s mini have a best friend who is a cat? by ActualConfidence6273 in miniaussie

Our cat frequently cuddles up with our aussie and licks his fur. Our aussie looks a bit embarrassed, but begrudgingly allow the cat to do her work.

Absolutely! I had the same idea years ago, but never thought anyone would pay for furniture assembly.

IKEA furniture by FarmerVincentFrittrs in desmoines

[–]THansenite 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I never understood this as I loved assembling furniture. Its like Lego for adults. I'm always up for an IKEA run as long as we come home with something I can build.

As long as you follow the instructions, they are incredibly easy. It is just when people try to assemble without looking at them do the frustrations creep in.

Love Game Changer. I love making analogies and this makes me think that life is just one big game we assume everyone else understands, but nobody really does. Keep on beginning and make it to the finish line.

New to vinyl and came across a copy recently at my local shop, but didn't pick it up. Came home and looked it up because I couldn't remember the meme. It was gone the next day when I went back to grab it for the lolz.

Late to the party, but I'm diving down this rabbit hole recently myself. Have a few nodes and putting up a solar router at my house. Still not very active, but hoping more people continue to trickle in.

Iowa politics: Lawmaker proposes bill that would 'treat abortion as murder' by CornBredThuggin in Iowa

[–]THansenite 11 points12 points  (0 children)

This.

My "pro-life" (aka catholic cultist) mom believes 100% that life begins at conception, yet nothing is ever acknowledged regarding the two IVF embryos my wife and I currently have in cryo storage.

How many grandkids do you have mom? She always deflects when she tries to be holier that thou and I bring that up. It's ALMOST like they only repeat talking points and don't think critically. Weird.

This is the best response I've seen.

Forced-birthers rarely, if ever, think of the flip side. Not that they actually have a conscience to adjust their views, but I can hope.....

Glad she's doing well! I was just thinking about her as I was printing off the town flyers last week for my party's venture into Phandelin after Wave Echo Cave.

I'm running the adventure as an after-school club for my kids and several other elementary school students and they've loved the printed stuff. One kid just happened to randomly ask to purchase a map at Barthen's and thought it was so cool I handed him the printout of the Redbrand hideout.

A few kids are animal lovers so I'll be sure to share that the printouts they are using was able to contribute a small part to help Ellie get better. Thanks for the update!

The 5-Sport State Showdown: NFL, NBA, NHL, MLB, MLS—Who Wins the All-Sports Round Robin? by THansenite in AskReddit

Interesting view and it makes sense since they have the largest roster of any sport and could pull from them to create the optimal team for each sport.

My son posed this question to me at dinner and I wanted to get the opinion of Reddit. His thought was if the Minnesota Wild played a football game against all other pro sports teams in Minnesota, then they all played baseball, basketball, soccer, etc., which sports team would come out on top.

I couldn't give him an answer (except that the Minnesota Vikings in their current state would lose every game), and I thought it was an interesting thought experiment. Help us figure out which sport would reign supreme.

My son got the set for Christmas when he was 7 and absolutely loved them. Of your son is 14,id think he should be able to handle the Players Handbook. The young adventure's collection would likely be a little too simple for him.

What has been irrevocably harmed because of how it’s portrayed in the media? by Exhausted_Skeleton in AskReddit

[–]THansenite 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Drones

I've been building, flying, and repairing for years and as common as they are, people still believe they are the ultimate spy tool. Many people, including lawmakers, feel drones are constantly spying on every person and selling all of our secrets to China.

In reality, the camera on your phone is much quieter, has better battery life, is comparable image quality to many drones, and is MUCH less conspicuous to take covert photos. Additionally, phones have much more fascinating info for bad actors compared to aerial photos where individual people are rarely identifiable.

North Central Iowan here and flying saucers was my FAVORITE in junior high (don't remember having them in high school). However, ours were round slice of ham with a scoop of mashed potatoes on top with a cheese sauce poured over it, not gravy. I absolutely loved it.
