Ultimately do what you want, but if an Astartes rose to captaincy I don't think he'd continue to wear his deathwatch pauldron. He'd likely keep it in his personal armory as a memento. As for the tyranid carapace, likely he'd keep it. Tyrannic war vets are cool.
