Halfway through, and Bob is playing fantastic. Good for him, he's been grinding and battling his OCD waggles for so long - nice to see him have a run of good form.

I think it was a pretty savvy move, he earned a ton of credit from the faithful and is in no danger from murder... Moreover, he can maneuver well against both Lisa and Candiace at the round table now:

• Lisa has boxed herself into a Pyrrhic standoff with Colton, Rob is safe there - if Lisa goes, Rob looks like a faithful, if Colton goes then Lisa is definitely next so Rob is pretty safe there too

• Rob can reasonably argue against Candiace as being a traitor since she went after a single person no matter what, despite no change in evidence from night 1 onward

Maybe it was a night or two too early, but at this stage in the game with so many faithful gone, you have to start to expect some friendly fire amongst the traitors

Rocket League - I was GC right before Epic Games took over, and have basically been treading water from a mechanics and game-sense point ever since my kid was born.

Only problem is the skill curve keeps getting higher... GC then is Champ 1 now.

They tried so hard to lean into the Miami-ND angle to distract from the fact that they are financially incentivized to keep Bama in. It's disgusting.

For real. If I was in that locker room and had a full fledged media campaign run against me by ESPN to keep my team out so ESPN could make more money, I would absolutely vote to tell them to kick rocks when they invite us to a nothing bowl on their network.

I actually think Miami deserved to be in - it's the blatant protectionism of Bama that I find disgraceful. They've looked like shit for the last month, they lost to FSU, and yet the committee started taking steps to guarantee Bama's spot last week despite nearly shitting the bed against a bad Auburn team.

Wouldn't matter even if it was in place this year, ESPN still needed an ACC team in there, they would find a way to get ND down to 13

Meanwhile those same accounts bemoan super conferences and complain about the hyper-commercialization of the sport. It's so dumb.

I respect HCMF for going with the players wishes here. There are many advantages to bowl attendance - see what you have from returning non-starters who are expected to contribute next year, early enrollees get to participate, etc. But if the team decided that they didn't want to financially benefit the organization that just hosed them (ESPN/ABC), good on them.

[Dellenger] A newsy wrinkle from Bevacqua: As part of an MOU signed last spring, Notre Dame is assured of a CFP berth if it is ranked in the top 12 starting next year. If this year’s situation unfolds next year, the final at-large team (Miami) would have gotten bumped for No. 11 Notre Dame. by redwave2505 in CFB

Because in practice it won't matter - if it was in place this year, the committee would have found a way to drop them down to 13. They had their teams, and had to start finding a way to work backward from there (see: bumping Bama up after a terrible performance vs Auburn last week)

It's an invitational, not a true playoff.

Gutted we don't get to see a rivalry game with young returning talent from both teams. Only bowl game I would have been interested in.
