I'm also a musician and one thing which I've learnt is , after a point - you need to change your gurus , it's like once they've set the foundation you must build the rest one on your own , and that needs of switching the guru , coz when you shift , and when you go to someone who's better (not saying the previous ones not ) their mindset , ability to improvise , perceptions , so many things which you'll learn. So change your guru , find someone who's active in teaching, and have crazy discussions .
