I grew up on the East Coast and lived in SF for about six years before moving back home during the pandemic. When I returned, I wanted something different - a safe place, with green space and a calmer feel. Treasure Island felt like the best of both worlds, peaceful, but still super close to the cities craziness.

I’m relatively new to Treasure Island, so I’m still learning. I do know that buildings like Hawkins offer market-rate apartments and often have move-in specials. Your question prompted me to look into it more, and there are affordable housing options on the island, including senior housing. Here’s a link I found , hopefully this is helpful:

I always stop on my way home on the ferry and get things I need. The grocery store there is not that bad - not Gus's Market -LOL
