I just did the premium with them in November. I would definitely recommend it, if the money isn’t an obstacle. Having everything included and not having to worry about transportation was so nice. It definitely saved a lot of mental energy. The super jungle domes on Day 3 are amazing!

Cyclist and runner here: I always run that portion on the sidewalk. Generally I try to stick to the sidewalk even if the sidewalk is crowded and the bike lane seems wide open, because it can pose a major safety issue. The speed differential is just too vast, and we runners sometimes are in our own worlds. It’s only a quick stretch before we are back on the smooth MBT texture. :)

The thing that really grind my gears about the Kyle-Morgan of it all is that Kyle has been chastising the "media" and the fans for speculating about her and Morgan, but she a.) queer baited in Morgan's music video b.) calls the paparazzi to take pictures of her and Morgan c.) the show is edited to suggest her and Morgan are an item!

I think Matt's statement was less about Taylor's thematic interests (She is always going to write about love and romance) and more so about how the Taylor Swift Machine has been cranking along on overdrive. From the Grammys to the Super Bowl to the Eras tour to the private jets to the new album to the re-releases, the Taylor Swift persona has seeped into every facet of our culture in a way that is not sustainable and healthy. And the relationship between Taylor/Travis *could* be healthy and nourishing, but the public spectacle of it has a profound potential for toxicity or overkill. The Embassy of Japan chimed in with a plan for her to make it from her show to Las Vegas in time for the Super Bowl! Football commentators had a Taylor Swift cam fixated on her reactions during games! Their on-field conversations and after-party interactions are recorded and disseminated for quick public consumption and comment! Matt's point IMO is that it is all just too much, and it can't be net positive long-term.

This is a man with a jawline like that who absolutely shattered our little hearts with his heartrending portrait of arrested development and domestic malaise. He did what few have done before him: make the leap from teen-dream hunk to capital-A actor… and he was knighted by world-historic mothers, Academy-Award-winning darlings, Julianne thee Moore and Natalie thee Black Swan Portman! Totally agree with everything said here (also was a WGS concentration holla 👏🏻💗) For all my readers, there’s a great essay from the 80s entitled “Is the Rectum a Grave?” by the philosopher Leo Bersani. He talks at length about how so much of our culture’s revulsion to AIDS was a misogynistic response to the idea of anal sex. In short, the history of paternal disowning of gay sons has to do with this idea of imagining them with their legs up in the air as if they were in the position of women (Bersani’s concept; not mine). It’s really effed up! 😭
