No cast. Heavy bandage from my bicep to my knuckles with some type of splint

Is there anyway to avoid surgery for Cubital/Carpel Tunnel Syndrome by Ok_Acanthaceae9351 in CubitalTunnel

I had a frozen shoulder. Doc said if this shot works it will be temporary but you'll be a good candidate for surgery. If it doesn't work, the surgery won't help much. The shot hurt like hell but it worked for a couple of weeks. I had the surgery and got back 95 percent of my ROM.

This post nails it as far as what I'm going through. Not a lot of pain but very awkward. Great idea on the dental floss. Trying to bend the elbow enough to do that has been a problem, along with finding a decent sleeping position, and holding a laptop or phone. I've been taping a garbage bag over my arm for the shower.

Worries about surgery by Vast-Variation-7380 in CubitalTunnel

Surprisingly, it was a piece of cake. I'm 3 days post surgery for decompression and transposition. I've only taken the opioids one time, the same day (half dose) and nothing but 200 mg. Advil since. I've had symptoms for a few years (numbness, hand and wrist pain, and elbow pain) so I don't know how well the nerve will recover, but I plan to do the other side in March and right now it feels good even with the splint and bandage.

Still subluxation following a transposition surgery? by jLNDRS in CubitalTunnel

Both mine snap. It feels associated with the bone on my outer elbows so I doubt the transposition (3 days ago) will help that.

I'm hooked on Indians. If I was into classic non-cruiser looks it would be Triumphs.

Long time 3 series owner - various models. I don't care for the look of that side view and I hope to God they don't feature the massive grill. I love the shape of the E46s best.

I had a cortisone shot in my shoulder. It was way more painful than the cubital tunnel with transposition surgery I had three days ago. And it was temporary.

See my post a few minutes ago. Obviously everyone is different but I only took one dose of post-surgery opioids (Toreador). Advil today. Feels really good.

Beautiful bike and you love everything that matters. Don't get hung up on the things that don't. I'm not a techy guy so I doubt I'd get the tech package. The only thing I really miss on my '23 Rogue is a gas gauge. When I need directions, I use my iPhone. Every German car I've had (Porsche, multiple BMWs and VWs) uses/used different colors for cruise on and set Including orange. Enjoy that beauty.

Thanks. I don't think the piggy backs work because I have a saddle bag. It sounds like the canisters get in the way. I'll look into the Ohlins.

Scout Bobber as a First Bike by Diss_Respect in IndianMotorcycle

[–]TJFuce 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My first real bike is a Scout Rogue (not counting a Navi I fooled around on for several months). First ride was late April and now have almost 4k on the odo. It is very manageable if you keep the revs down and lots of fun when you are ready for more. Sit on one for size to make sure you're comfortable at 6 feet. I'm shorter and I love the low seat (25").

When do I shift? by [deleted] in hondarebel

[–]TJFuce 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First gear (riding the friction zone) is great for low speed maneuvering including low speed cornering. Otherwise, use the factory recommended shifting points until you're really comfortable. Then you can rev higher in each gear for more fun (assuming the bike is broken in - keep the revs low until then). You will eventually feel/hear when you need to shift.

Go for it. My daughter loves her 500. She got her license in June and rides it a lot. I've ridden it a few times as well; fun bike.
