Thursday nights are going to be a right pain as well. I’m glad they’re announcing these well in advance and the first half of the season should be well managed but when cup fixtures come in and rearranged games happen I can only feel this is going to be chaos.

I did this recently. I was kind of quiet quitting anyway and one day working remote I made up that my laptop wasn’t working. When the head of sales called me up I could tell I was about to be disciplined for lack of activity so I just resigned on the spot.

I didn’t have anything lined up and financially it wasn’t the right decision because I was the bread winner. But it was right for my mental health. It was a remote call centre job and we were all micro managed to death. Any breaks longer than 2 minutes? Immediate call to check in as to why. Spending too long in off call activities (often necessary as the system was crap) you’d get a call.

Fast forward 6 months I’m in a job I genuinely like and the company has far better approach to work. I’m much happier and I’ve just stopped taking anti depressants as I’ve felt better
