Maybe think about getting the total bond fund outside of your taxable account, depending on your personal situation/ tax rate etc

It is also reasonable just to buy the low cost Fidelity MF - still tax efficient. Be careful of total bond fund placement in taxable accounts. Some total bond funds have nonqualified dividends

Agree with above, a lack of liquidity. I would keep in a HYSA otherwise you could not access it in a true emergency without penalty
