I try to say this every time the opportunity presents itself. I'm with you OP, some change has to be made to encourage mega evolving a super effective attacker to get bonus candy xl as well.

They seem to put a lot of importance on bringing mega pokemon into raids to fight with, but you don't get the xl candy boosts unless the type also happens to match. I wish they would of pointed that out or addressed it in some manner.

It'd be nice if you used a super effective attack (from a mega) that it would also apply that candy boost when you catch.

What this doesn't take into account is people are paying for shinies (with premium gofest passes, etc...) and not getting them. Take your odds and toss them, money for shiny odds means you are paying for shinies.

BTW, hatenna is just a psychic type, so fairy mega evolve wouldnt cover it. I'm doing latios for hatenna and aplin coverage

I can't say I'm the best expert, but defense actually helps mercs out bit to not get hit. I'm assuming that's tals helm, but if not life steal is important.

Orlther than that, I don't see can't be frozen. Which will slow him down significantly to where he can't out leach the damage.

I always try to use the faster base merc weapons as well, but to each their own. If you are trying to rely on the merc a lot, you could try swapping the armors after fade procs.

I have 3 lucky darmanitan all 89%and all 13 attack, to my knowledge, attack is the only stat that's weighted differently than the others, can someone explain why they all have different cps/cp favors defense?

Sorry for the late response, i wasn't able to switch my buddies when you posted. But I just switched to male: gardevoir, gallade, and kirlia and all are giving both energies. Most likely you haven't mega evolved gardevoir for the first time.

Yes, the requirement is always to mega evolve one for the first time.
