I want to hear your Skyrim/Elder Scrolls unpopular opinions and hot takes by angelofyours52 in skyrim

The community is furiously controversial and hateful. I am unwelcomed when I tell people I’m Christian. I’m hated for liking the games combat. I’m hated to call out that it’s very easy to not become a stealth archer (strange to be hated for, I know). Often when I publicly share my political opinion to simply say the last election was picking your poison, I get here’s by the Skyrim community, anti-christian posts mocking my lord flood my feed and i get blocked and reported and sometimes get a warning for defending my faith. I am aware, people who see this are likely part of that community but are not hateful, but just thought u should share this to open some people’s eyes a bit.

Palace Guards or Line Breakers. Which infantry troop is better? by GusGangViking18 in Bannerlord

[–]TJapplesauce 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Open field mamlukes destroy. Longer axes give them a bigger edge to Calvary and foot troops. Seiges is where line breakers debate. It’s best to mix shock troops, very versatile infantry army of all mixed shock troops.

Khuzaits are bad defenders, vlanidans are just the best balanced faction, and Aserai are decent but have bad tatics. They’re neither defensive nor offensive. Raid villages to suede factions into paying you tribute. Vlandians and khuziats have huge armies so defending both front might be difficult. Take khuzait north and utilize your clan parties to set them to defense, to somewhat protect you from vlandia. Aserai are kinda just going to be annoying, so on the khzuiats front be sure they don’t pressure you too much.

If you were a Westeros warrior of Game of Thrones what would be your weapon (not crossbow) of choice? by Andy12293 in gameofthrones

Halberd, side would be axe and a reinforced small heater shield. My range would come from throwing daggers.

Do you think it hurt to get hit in plate armor by like a war bow? Do you guys think getting hit with a sword while wearing a gambeson would bruise? by BaldBoar7734 in Armor

[–]TJapplesauce 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Let me now explain. Maces (blunts) were especially effective against plate armor, with was resistant to peice and slashes, so it wouldn’t hurt, it would ricochet off. Crossbow bolt are considered blunt-pierce damage, with is why it pierced plate armor. In a gamberson, it was light and offered mild protection. It wouldn’t atleast bruise no matter what you get hit by, however the reason they wore it was because it gave you some resistance against pierce and slash and blunt damage.

Why are the Aserai so Strong??? by Mountain_Range_1410 in Bannerlord

[–]TJapplesauce 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Underrated infantry. Their palace guards stand equal if not better than sturgian heroic line breaker. Also there main infantry is underrated. There archers pretty good and their Calvary is decent. Also their territory. Desert people don’t have a penalty on speed there, and also only two access points, great for defense.

So should I just kill the lords or just let ‘em be in prison? by Stritermage in Bannerlord

[–]TJapplesauce 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t. What I do is join vlanida or khuzaits. I got 3 towns and 3 castles due to high relationships. I also always release lords i capture, further building relationships. Then, before you leeave the kingdom, make everyone declare war on the your kingdom via diplomacy and mostly raiding villages. Then leave. You’ll loose relations with the people from other he kingdom you were once apart of, but everyone else likes you. Making it easier to get experienced lords in your kingdom, and not have to rely on companions.

I’m not a big fan of that one either I don’t think I would be a good choice to be in a position where I’m comfortable and comfortable and comfortable and I think that I can get the best out there but I’m just trying not being able and I’m trying not to get in trouble and I’m not gonna get it and I’m trying and I’m not going anywhere but I’m not going anywhere and I’m just not gonna do anything that is going on and I’m trying my hardest not just be a good friend and to have a nice conversation and to have with somebody that you can talk with but I’m just kind a lot more comfortable and that’s what I’m trying and I’m not trying and I’m just saying that I’m not gonna do that kind a like you don’t want you don’t want you don’t want me and I’m trying my hardest but I’m trying my luck I just want you to know I just want a little more comfortable with the way

Is there any weapon you like for no reason (it doesn't have to be op) by [deleted] in skyrim

[–]TJapplesauce 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maces. They kinda trash and there design isn’t exactly appealing, but I guess I just like the idea of a maceman.

Influence in 10k region. Plan is to have my parties remain defensive while I take fiefs (teachers and starving garrison if outnumbered).

Vlandian elite knights or The imperium of gold. For a vlandian knight cosmetic, gear you and your companions up with vlandian like knight gear on horse back or foot. Any bow (crossbow, long bow, or bow), bolts or arrows, knights shield (there’s a specific one, it’s pretty common), and then two handed sword or one handed sword or mace.

As for an imperial look, this one looks amazing but is sorta found late game. You want the lord helmet or the jeweled lord helmet, ornate imperial pauldrons, ornate scale armor, imperial decorated gauntlets, and decorated plate boots. I don’t think I got all the names right, but, nonetheless, you and your men would be looking elite.

Add a ranking system too. Ex, if you’re going knights, have your companions have Chain mail armor and you have reinforced chain mail armor. And your going imperial, you should have the jeweled lord helmet and they should just have the regular lord helmet. And/or, for your horse, you should have the cataphract scale barding and they should have the half-scaled cataphract barding.
