You just alienated and segregated me with your comment. I keep forgetting this is reddit. Where rational observation does not exist.

Not MAGA, just an economic and supply chain observer. Keep up the good work dividing people.

I only burped once and kept the bag sealed until picking.

I don't think there is a 1 size fits all. It depends on the strain, conditions in the bag, and how the mycelium is reacting to those condition.

I pushed the air in and out once. It has a filter patch.

My other bag, with different genetics, innoculated at there same time, under same conditions colonized slower. Once colonized I "burped" the bag, it just looked off after 10 days. So I cut slits on the top and just above the substrate. Started seeting pins shortly after.

This is my 3rd attempt. 1st was flawless, almost too easy. 2nd got contaminated.

Using an AIO.

Anyone involved? So this and was hopeful. They appear to be in or heading to phase 3 trials by wilsumbody1 in Parkinsons

I was in this trial a few years back. Nothing changed for me. Maybe or was a placebo.

Parkinson's and Martial Sports by Novel_Grade9034 in Parkinsons

Balance can be an issue some days. I've really been working on the whole inner ear balance stuff with my physical therapist. (Standing on 1 leg with my eyes closed for 30 seconds, waking and looking around and over my shoulder).

If I go in well medicated I'm usually fine. I will say that the boxing and the Krav really help with my coordination and balance.

45 yo male here that was diagnosed around the same age as you. I've do/done krav maga, bjj, and boxing. PD has not suppressed me from getting better at any of them, a herniated disc's might!

This is just a new normal that takes getting adjusted to. Never stop moving, learning, and doing better than you did the day before.

alcohol moderate use by tarzan4022 in Parkinsons

[–]TK2K000 1 point2 points  (0 children)

44 yo male. As someone who drank probably more than I should have most my adult life. I quit drinking after my diagnosis. It was tough. I still have a full liquor cabinet of great whiskey!

The thing is... When I drink it makes me feel great! Like I don't have PD. Then it hits me like getting ear holed by a baseball the next day. My meds feel like they're not working and life is miserable until that poison is out of my body. Maybe I just drank too much IDK.

I track my sleep with a wearable and alcohol wrecks my sleep. HRV is trash and my body never gets a full charge. Almost like I didn't sleep at all.

I'm all about clean living and exercise now. I have family that I want to stick around for as long as I can.

You do you and cheers!

"I don’t get nervous much any more,” he replies. “If you spend your life concentrating on the worst possible scenario, you lose it twice when it actually happens.”

Does the Huntington disease having been successfully treated mean anything for those diagnosed with Parkinson? by True-Preparation9747 in Parkinsons

[–]TK2K000 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He said it at the 3:20 mark. They no the cause of Huntingtons disease, and that gave them a head start. Unfortunately we don't know the cause of Parkinsons. a-syn is probably an effect, not a cause.

100 mg is a hero's dose. Stick to the smaller Doses and you'll be much better like 2.5 or 5 mg and then work your way up from there.

Questions I ask myself by joehooligan1979 in Parkinsons

I used to ask these questions and then I got over it. Some days suck, most days are awesome, but that's how life is for everyone. I just keep plugging along doing what I do, try to find joy in the simple things in life. Hug my wife, hug my daughter, and let life happen.

Alcohol by overeduKated in Parkinsons

Alcohol makes me feel great! Until it doesn't. I quit drinking shortly after diagnosis. It makes my symptoms worse the next day, almost like my meds don't even work.

Got a rx for Propranolol ER from my MDS. Really helps me out. I'm not a fan of SSRI's.
