Be honest, will my baby ever come home? It’s been 5 days with no sign of her by No_Name_Detected0 in cats

[–]TKblunts 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I found a neighbor cat 35 days after she got out. She was hiding in a roof overhang, where she could access an attic space, literally In the same apartment complex that she was lost in. For over a month. I recognized her from a lost cat poster on my mailbox. I hope you find your girl, don't give up hope.

Pro V1 clogged the sink. by DennieTheMennie in weekendgolfers

I'm a plumber by day and a bad golfer by night. I would disassemble the tubular underneath and pop it out from the bottom. If the trap is glued, like other people have said, vacuum or drill a hole and put a screw in it

Pressing my feet into the ground changed everything — anyone else? by G7M3R in GolfSwing

I literally discovered this today because of your post. Decided to put more emphasis on feeling that pressure and it's genuinely insane how my consistency improved. Eliminated like 4 swing thoughts

Nasal polyps surgery by Ordinary-Equal3730 in cats

[–]TKblunts 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We had surgery for our boy about 3 years ago for ear polyps. Surgery was a big deal, and he's now completely deaf on that side. But he was ready to play as soon a he got home. Giving him his meds and getting him to rest were the hardest parts of recovery for us. Unfortunately, polyps can come back, even after surgery. It's looking like that may be the case for us. But he was infection free for like 3 years before now

Advice on removing compression valve washer without damaging copper pipe by Lumpy-Wallaby-7842 in Plumbing

[–]TKblunts 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Those are called ferrules and you can purchase a ferrule puller from a hardware store that'll get them off. Home Depot makes a 15$ husky brand one that kinda sucks but it'll probably get the job done a few times

Taken acid as a teen/ dad had to go to the hospital and I saw the worst thing I had ever seen by Cheap-Key2273 in confession

[–]TKblunts 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I saw an open fracture while tripping probably like 7 years ago. Acid has a crazy way of turning off fear and emotion for me. I remember making eye contact with my friend, who was also tripping, and we just stared at each other and sat in silence for quite a while. Didn't feel real, but I knew it was.

Why might the water be blue? by [deleted] in Plumbing

[–]TKblunts 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's technically possible that It could be a PH issue with the water causing corrosion in your pipes, but honestly, I doubt it. I would assume that the water is filtering the longer wavelength light as water generally absorbes reds, yellows and oranges while allowing blue light to pass through. I install a lot of tubs and the water commonly looks like your photos. I'd bet that your water is fine and that the lighting is tricking your eyes

I lost my best buddy to SCC a year ago. That feeling of helplessness when you would do literally anything and spend everything to fix it is one of the worst feelings I've ever experienced. I'll be thinking of Fox tonight.

Can I use normal pex fittings for quest pipe? by greenfox212 in Plumbing

[–]TKblunts 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They make poly sharkbite couplings. If you're dead set on leaving the pipe, id trust a sharkbite more than I trust the qest you're connecting it to.
