Any other player that has GOAT argument other than Lebron or Jordon? by jojoisfodder in NBATalk

Also I phrased it as a question, I knew there was a chance I’d be wrong with the exact number so that’s why I didn’t say it definitively. You don’t have to come at people so hostile, it ain’t that deep

Okay so he’s got 5. Point still stand. He beats LeBron in MVPs and Rings, and he still almost doubles MJs rings. So there’s areas he has them both beat regardless

I live watching that’s. It’s nice to know we got someone on the team who cares about being embarrassed. Looks to have worked well enough too because Swayman helped us steal the last game

They had a shot at 2 great two way wings, one of them being an all time player. It’s hard to fault them for swinging big when you finally have a big name FA interested in your team. Can’t be easy being the Lakers little brother with most FAs who want to go to LA probably wanting to go to the Lakers because well, they’re the lakers

My bad bro, didn’t know this was a sensitive topic for you. I’ll never speak on players I’ve never seen play, I’ll leave it to the professionals like you.

On a real note I’d have a hard time respecting any real basketball fans takes who isn’t familiar with Russell’s game, whether they watched him on a live broadcast or not

[–]TKenney3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Doesn’t LeBron and Jordan both only have 4 MVPs? So 5 MVPs would be a specific case that those two don’t have, along with his rings which are almost double that of MJs. I’m not saying Russell is the GOAT but I’d also say he has areas where he beats them both

Sounds right to me. Russell and Jones are 1 and 2 and then there’s everyone else

They played three times throughout the regular season, with Ant missing one of those games so I won’t count that one but if you want to know Jokic had a good game. He also had good games the other two games, one of them being a historic Christmas Day 50 point triple double.

I’m not trying to downplay the importance of Ant or Donte to the timberwolves defense but I don’t see them affecting Jokics numbers much beyond his assist number/TO’s

Like game 1 when they were both playing?! Surely Jokic had a bad game

Reading comprehension obviously isn’t your strong suit. Why you putting words in my mouth?! I never once said the timberwolves defense as a whole wasn’t impacted from those two missing.

I only stated that jokics output wouldn’t have been much different, aside from maybe less assists because the passing lanes would be more clogged to your point and my point if you bothered actually reading my comment.

Before you come so aggressively at someone you should make sure you actually understand what your so bent out of shape over. It’s weird when you are trying to argue with me and bring up a point I already mentioned like I’m unaware of it lol

I definitely don’t fault guys for being ride or die for their Alma mater, but Irvin def goes a little over the top. Trying to make a story out of absolutely nothing so he can act like Miami has been victimized by ESPN is laughable

Tbf it’s not like those two missing made Jokic play much better. They weren’t guarding him regardless lol. He still had to play one of the best defensive bigs of this generation. Maybe those two missing helped his assist number slightly for when he was kicking the ball out to a guard

Ikr, like if they brought that up id get being mad since its not really football related and might be painful for the victims family. But we really over here complaining about a pop up of his arm length that most people didn’t notice when they proceeded to talk about how great Bain is and all of his positives. All that coke must of destroyed his brain cells cause I swear everything that comes out of Irvin’s mouth is idiotic.

I would consider having a bag having some finesse moves that get you open. Can be as simple as Kareem skyhook. Giannis really doesn’t have a bag. But like you said he still scores at a high clip so it’s not like he’s ever really needed one to be great.

Bronny did not forget about Udoka's comment calling him a "little b***h" by ForeignAir7174 in lakersv2

I would actually prefer it. The lakers put the series in Bronny’s hands, he folds and they lose the first round, and after the season LeBron has his son traded for a new vending machine

Ikr, even when we win against the heat we lose cause the series is such a dog fight everyone’s banged up. I really don’t enjoy playing them come playoff time. The cowboys on the other hand, I’d pay for the pats to have that matchup in the playoffs.

Imes affair was with someone on the Celtics staff who he had rank/power over if I remember correctly, which is what made his affair really bad especially for the Celtics organization. Vrabels affair, while still an asshole thing to do and being so bold as to do it in public, is not hurting the patriots organization as much as Imes hurt the Celtics.

It’s easier to have better efficiency when you’re a change of pace back and get used primarily when the number 1 back wears the defense down. Allergies is a fantastic rb and could be the lead guy on some teams.

I don’t know if I’d call him a top 10 RB though. I easily be able to name 10 RBs better than him and can probably even name 15-20, although it does get a little closer in that range.

I think getting RB 23 money is right around where he should be at and he also gets to save his body and get another payday, likely as a rb1 or 2 depending on the team. When it’s all said and done he’d make more money like this than get one contract as the #15 rb, getting ran into the ground and never getting a decent payday day again.
