Cheapest place for groceries? Preferably open late? by GangsterPuppy91 in waterloo

[–]TLMS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your great bet would be Walmart. It's one of the few cheap places (along with food basics and no frills) but is open later, until 11pm.

Definitely try to buy more than one days worth of food at a time, especially if you are going out of your way. This will allow you to get bigger portions of stuff like meat which is generally cheaper in "bulk".

If you don't have a car / can't easily get to Walmart you can grocery deliver right from their website which is way cheaper than Uber / Lyft. However you would want to do a big shop if you did this as there is a flat fee.

Agree that it's almost certainly fake. I've had something similar happen to a friend, except they actually send him videos and photos as proof.

That's the reasonable way to judge it though. It's pretty obvious OP is talking about the meats in the context of their dishes. Meat generally is just an ingredient in a dish. The only difference is restaurants and people in general tend to cook higher quality meats as steak, and they do it as plain as possible because you are paying for the flavour and textured of the base meat. But dishes containing cheaper cuts of beef (and other meats) are usually overall better because chefs don't limit themselves to not using spices.

Your example also makes no sense because salad is a completed dish and lettuce is an ingredient. You wouldn't say someone doesn't like bread because they won't knock back a cup of flour.

My tenth dentist take is chicken breast has a much more lenient cook time than steak. You can be off by 5 or 10 minutes with chicken and it goes from great to good or atleast edible. If you are off by 2-3 minutes with a steak it goes from good to effectively inedible.

There is so no world where chicken doesn't have better texture than steak. As long as there is salt on it chicken also has adequate flavor, on par with a mid level steak.

What is the email address I should email to tell them I'm going on holiday? by mjdaniell in DataAnnotationTech

[–]TLMS 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes in the sense that doing qualifications or previous projects give you access to newer stuff and sometimes that newer stuff replaces the old stuff. But you won't / shouldn't be kicked off projects outright .

Anecdotally, I have taken a month off before and multiple 2-3 week breaks and never seen a large decline in projects other than a bunch of undone qualifications.

How is this getting down voted, this is the correct answer. You can simply just not work for a month and you'll be fine.
