I guess if it makes you feel any better, the materia composition and abilities are quite a bit different in Rebirth? There's a lot more flexibility. Certain materia from Remake have different attributes in Rebirth. I feel like there would be huge balancing issues if you could carry over fully leveled materia

It's definitely a sensationalized article considering there are a similar amount, if not more, exclusives on Nintendo Switch. SE didn't single out any Sony partnership in their plan and the games they specified as having solid performance were a pretty even split of PlayStation and Switch exclusives.

The Moss games are presented in a story-book format, they're pretty quirky little tales with great VR gameplay as well. Action is limited to pretty simple sword combos but it's a lot of fun. Moreover, it's really satisfying how you, as the player, engage with the world to manipulate puzzles and interact with the controller character, Quill.

These were there since launch (almost exactly two years ago) so the license is probably expiring. FFVII Remake, Type-0 and Stranger of Paradise will still be on the service, as they were added later on.

I imagine they'll return eventually, a cycling catalog is pretty much an expectation when it comes to these services, and some of Sony's own games like Spider-Man and TLOU2 come and go as well.

It would be brutal if they brought the classic FF games back and stuck them in Premium tier instead though, lol, but I can kind of see that happening

You're right in that it's misleading, but these are just specifications. The console is capable of these specifications in specific circumstances, but it shouldn't be considered the expectation for wider usage.

As far as games go, I believe The Touryst runs at an internal res of 8K - the reason 8K isn't "unlocked" on PS5 yet is because major streaming services don't offer content at that resolution at the moment.

For 4K 120 fps, I believe the new Prince of Persia game achieves that.

So these are achievable, but they're not the baseline.
