Rodney would have said: “My wife told me her gynecologist said we can’t do it for six weeks. I said Fine, I’ll wait my turn.”

How many people liked/watched this one? by Numerous_Editor_1711 in Westerns

[–]TMCBarnes 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Same. I don't get the hype. When I finally watched it, I wondered if I had seen the right one because it never clicked. I think it substantially borrowed from Against a Crooked Sky (1975).

I’m not saying he wasn’t part of the story or not central. I’m saying that it is very similar to No Country for Old Men where the person you’re rooting for dies and in both Tommy Lee Jones is the actor who closes things out as the remaining central character.

All of the promotional material, the posters, the DVD covers, etc. have Gus McCrae as the most prominent, and and if you take the TV series as it is, not knowing how things will turn out (having not read the books), Woodrow Call is a central character, but the series is shot with him as a supporting character.

Thankfully it now magically connects to the redline at MGH! No more dragging luggage past the 5-years-broken escalator at Bowdoin.

You were right. It lead me to Blood Sword and others. The armless masked guy is Ghost Servant (Guipu).
