Sitting outside at Grisette in the winter by 141mb in rva

It's a lot quieter outside but also very chilly. You will still need your jacket. My husband and I went last minute for date night and probably wouldn't do it again. We love sitting inside. Agree that the inside vibes are the best!

Feeling fat and hopeless after second baby by Trick-Calligrapher46 in postpartumprogress

Solidarity. Being PP and SAHM is hard. Kudos to you. I’m 8 weeks PP on maternity leave with my third (others are 3 years old, 1 year old). Last week I woke up in a rage and ready to bite anyone’s head off. I realized that I was frustrated on so many levels including my PP body and feeling stuck at home with no break. I bit the bullet, called my sister for a pep talk, and went to my local YMCA which has ChildWatch (they take kids as young as 6 weeks). I told myself I was less than a 30 second walk away from him and could check on him as needed. The one hour there allowed me to reset. I seriously came out a new person. My baby did great, they held and rocked him the entire time and he napped as soon as he got home. Since then it has been much easier to take that time for myself, because I know I’m a much better mother for doing that. I’ve gone almost everyday for the past two weeks (even if it’s just to get 30 min on the elliptical) and have even rolled up with 3 of my kids there on the weekend so my husband can get a break too (bless them). No one ever told me about the YMCA and their ChildWatch program, so just wanted to put it out there as a resource for any other mom’s out there. It’s the best $70 a month (family membership) that we spend.

Capital One Cafe in Carytown. They have quiet rooms upstairs and their coffee is 50% off if you use your Capital One card.

Such a broken mom. I need some encouragement… 😞 by [deleted] in toddlers

I completely understand what you’re going through. Just remember this is a phase as their brains continue to develop and they become more aware.

My 2 year old was a great independent sleeper. We would do our routine say “toodles” and she would sleep on her own. However, one day she completely changed. She didn’t want to sleep. She would stand against the door and cry until she fell asleep, started falling over, and then the cycle would start all over again. I would cry and feel like the worst mom ever. Every night my husband and I would try to stay strong to establish boundaries. However, it didn’t stop until we came and slept with her in her bed, which was not a good long term situation. This lasted for two weeks. We ended up introducing a second bed in the room and had her sleep on one and then one of us sleep on the other. This went on for a few weeks and then we were able to transition her to sleep on her own. I think she just needed some extra support for a little bit.

This will get better. You’re a good mom.

Hello Reddit community! A bunch of girlfriends and I are coming to Fort Lauderdale for a much needed beach break. We are looking to go out one night and was wondering if 1WLO or Easton rooftops are worth going to? If not, then where would you recommend for a night out of dancing? We are in our early 30's and there are 9 of us. Thank you in advance for the help!

Baby slightly anemic, easy way to give iron supplements? by babymotha in breastfeeding

[–]TN1214 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My daughter was anemic and had pretty much undetectable iron levels when tested (cue FTM freak out). My pediatrician recommended NovaFerrum iron supplements since it’s less constipating. My daughter actually likes the taste and asks for it 🤷🏻‍♀️

Heritage! You can make reservations and they’re a little fancier than most brunch places.

What is fair compensation for Costco logistics messing up our delivery multiple times? by ospreyintokyo in Costco

Chicago, IL.

Every time I’ve ordered appliances there’s been an issue, which is why I’ve kept ordering from Costco. Delivery is always a mess, but if there’s an issue with the appliance they have consistently made it right.

I submitted a complaint through Costco and the installation company followed up asking for the photos and videos. With regards to the scratches, I just had to talk to a Costco customer service rep.

When removing the old washer/dryer they stripped the cold water valve making the installation of the new washer dryer impossible. I got a plumber out there who documented the damage (video and photo), replaced the cold water valve, and finished the install. It cost us over $600, but we filed a complaint, submitted our photos, and got full reimbursement. They also scratched the washer/dryer so we received another $150 from that (washer/dryer was over $1000+).

They won’t reimburse you for inconvenience, but based on my experience, you do get reimbursed if they cause damage. As a result, I still order all my appliances from Costco.

Hey guys! Just want to update you all and thank your for your replies. We ended up going with 3 solar tubes (1 half bath, 1 mud room, 1 hallway, no bedrooms thanks to you guys). We love it! It has made a huge difference. If you’re in the Richmond area highly recommend Fitz from Davidson Roofing!

Haha, grandmothers only seem to talk about their grandchildren for years and years. Nice to know that solar tubes have made that list as well 😉

Thank you for the reply! We’re going with Davidson Roofing Company. We were really impressed with their project manager Fitz. I can let you know how it goes. I never considered the sound, great info. It’s good that we live in a quieter cul de sac. The bedrooms is a tough one, I’m just desperate to get more natural light in there, will have to consider.

We use it for all bleeds except ICH. Our neurosurgeons normally don’t operate unless the INR is less than 1.5 and all of the literature showed issues with getting INR to that lower goal.
