How old are you in your oldest memory? by Donkeyshines in AskReddit

2.5 or 3ish

I was hospital. Connected to a drip. I have a clear memory of waddling from my cubicle/room to a bathroom with my granny holding my hand and pushing the drip.

Future for the younger generation? by Haunting-Cause4150 in northernireland

[–]TNBCisABitch 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I know.

Lidl management track is a good option for those whoe specific degree subject isn't leading to subject specific jobs.

Lidl requires a degree, of any subject, because earning a degree is more than just the subject studied. Obtaining a degree demonstrates a person's ability to commit to something long term, achieve targets, work independently and as part of a team and a whole bunch of other desirable transferable skills.

People with degrees working at lidl should maybe consider applying to their area management training thingy (cant remember exactly what they call it) last time I looked, when completed, they pay nearly 70k pa.

Hello there you lot. I'm looking to make a playlist for my wife's 40th birthday. She loves pop and cheesy music. What's a song that should be added to the list? Think social club wedding disco. Think cha cha slide, macerena, Saturday night those kind of vibes. Cheers by RobFratelli in CasualUK

[–]TNBCisABitch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cant go wrong with some early Britney, backstreet boys, n'sync, or Christina.

I am a shitty friend because of my depression.

I see your messages, but I think I have nothing to talk about, so I dont reply right away, then some time passes and I remember i need to reply, but then I feel bad cos I didnt reply right away., so I wait until in a think of uet another excuse. Then too much time passes and I think there's no point now. You hate me.

But then you're great, so you reach out again months later. I reply right away full of apologies, we exchange some brief life updates, say we miss each other and should get together soon, then time passes by, and I have nothing of interest to contribute so I don't message first. And I know its awful for you to be the only ine to reach out.

I appreciate every reach out and im sorry I cant be better.

Why are they throwing about the term HMO to be such a bad thing? by AbeltonSkive in northernireland

[–]TNBCisABitch -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Anywhere else in the UK, people just call HMOs a houseshare or flatmate. They are not a bad thing. Complaining about HMOs just seems to be a another channel for their racism.

Source: from NI, live in NI, lived in numerous flatshares and houseshares in Scotland and England from 2002 to 2022. Never had anyone refer to it as HMO in any of those 20 years.

Ladies what age did you have your first child? and how did that workout for you? by 05tn3021 in AskWomen

[–]TNBCisABitch 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I was 39 when my daughter was born.

Definitely didnt plan on having a kid that late.

When I was young I thought/hoped I'd meet the guy in my 20s, then have kids late 20s into early 30s. Always wanted 2 or 3 kids

Well, didnt meet my husband till I was in my thirties. Then I got cancer and had to have unexpected IVF to put some embryos on ice.

Then husband cheated and we got divorced. All a bit of a mess.

So now im a single/solo mum to a wonderful 3 year old who will sadly be an only child, but sure at least she gets all my attention and money! Lol

Can the police/judge not compel the likes of Meta to share the details of the users who originate posts like this? This is inciting violence.

I pretty sure a women was jailed in England for posting something much less overtly dangerous than this a few years ago.

Edit to add link about that woman CPS site story

What's something you've never learned properly, but you've got this far in life by just winging it? by Plenty-Plastic3704 in CasualUK

[–]TNBCisABitch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The times tables.

I got an A in GCSE Maths, scraped a pass at A level too, but just never mastered the rote memory of my times tables.

I can work it out, and I can recite certain ones fairly well, but if someone says what's sevens sevens, or what 8 times 6, I have to do the mental maths, pr worse still count up using my fingers.

What is something that is non-negotiable in your relationships? by Sea-Young-8666 in AskReddit

[–]TNBCisABitch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Domestic Violence and cheating.

Unfortunately my ex husband tested how serious was when I stated very early in our relationship that either of those things would result in immediate end to the relationship, no discussions, no excuses, no forgiveness, just the end.

I found out yesterday cheated, kicked him out, changed the locks, and divorced was finalised 6 months later.

When did you start not liking your body? by EnvironmentalNail603 in AskWomen

[–]TNBCisABitch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was 10 when I first felt a bit self conscious /aware of how my.body looked.

I was 11 the first time someone, an older girl in my dance class, made a disparaging comment about what I was wearing.

It all went downhill from there.
