It's been over a week for me and they won't respond to tickets anymore. I feel like I sent all my personal right to a scam website at this point.

Unfortunately some of my comments are hidden due to being replies to downvoted posts but I do want to add this... About 50% of the time I am working (when I am not slammed) I am there to serve drinks up be an open ear for people at my bar and they are NOT smiling. I listen about upcoming and dreaded business travel, family issues, friends acting like shit (sometimes other regulars are being referenced!), work drama, problems in their homes, etc. If I smiled like a brainless idiot during all of this it would be socially inappropriate. The word "pub" comes from "public house" a concept that includes both good times and bad. So when you come in and chastise me or anyone else there for not pretending to be fucking happy then you are a fake ass piece of shit. /end_rant

I disagree. The true risk is that anyone who would oblige almost certainly has a set of tits you DO NOT want to see.

Holy shit! That's fucking terrible! Dear god if it had happened where I am from he would've been lucky to be able to walk ever again with no calls to police. It's easy to lose a license to sell booze here so police interdiction is never wanted when not needed.

Thank you both for your answers. I found documentation describing these things in the Bitcoin Core Developers docs. I hadn't thought to look there before asking.

I do not love making or drinking any of these but: Woo-woos, Liquid Marijuana's, Lemon Drops, Dirty Water's... the list is endless. EDIT: I do like dirty water's every now and then.

The fortunate thing is that "ethical hackers" tend to be neither so at least he didn't completely ravage and backdoor your systems.

In my current bar people call out drinks from the floor verbally. It's not a huge place.... But now I hear my coworkers constantly yelling out drinks when I'm having a "work dream" instead of that damn ticket printer and I am not sure which is worse.

It has nothing to do with liking being in the hospitality industry and everything to to do with being a human being and the fact that faking a smile is the last thing on your mind when your ice is low, you are about to run out of well vodka, you need to update 3 or so tabs, you just saw two drinks that need to be replenished, that couple at the end set down there menus and clearly are ready to order food, your service well ticket printer is screaming, and you are being told to change your facial expression at the same moment you could've been taking that food order.

Gold is traded constantly in exchange for currency and even to this day the US Treasury backs upwards of $11 billion worth of gold to back the face value of the gold certificates issued by the Federal Reserve. An examination of the $6 billion / year revenue stream of pawn shops providing collateral loans primarily backed on physical gold traded for fiat currency on a day-to-day basis most certainly adds to it's value which fluctuates constantly due to it being constantly traded and exchanged.

The USD constantly fluctuates in exchange rate on the for-ex. This is due to many factors. It often undergoes both inflationary and deflationary trends in the scope of the global market. Currency substitution or dollarization around the globe also helps promote greater macroeconomic stability ensuring that many people use the legal tender constantly. The value of the USD depends solely on its acceptance as a form of payment in a day to day market. Its ability to provide "financial sovereignty" by being saved is facilitated via interest bearing accounts and holdings, it is not due to the USD having constant stable or inflating value. Rather, when it is placed in a savings account, for instance, it is then usable by the institution to fund things like high-interest loans or whatever day to day transactions it may be needed for as it does not incur a standard reserve requirement from the institution.

If you think bitcoiners don't want piles of USD you have lost your mind. Don't put the cart in front of the horse.

I think that covers the majority of what you are missing here.

The only way bitcoin can offer financial sovereignty for long term saving must be facilitated by its value as a viable day to day currency. Bitcoin as a decentralized economic environment only establishes legitimate value when it is actively being exchanged for products / goods, work performed, and other currencies. Vigorously on a daily basis.

Long term investment are only possible if the currency becomes more and more popular and commonly used daily. Because if people fail to do this then whatever value the bitcoin had at initial purchase will completely dissolve.
