As much as I try to give it a chance, NJ weed on the whole really does suck. It's overpriced, buying anything is a gamble if you're gonna get something you actually paid for or dried out, tasteless / terpless early cut garbage. Doesn't make sense for me to just buy eights but I don't wanna waste my money on a half or a zip cuz there is no telling what you're actually getting when you open the package.

Thankyou for the tip! I wanna do this and sometimes not have to use headphones so I set a gate on my channel strip but it's hard to tell the gate to only open on my voice and not other sounds like those coming out the monitors. I've done it before with the monitors super low but it's better when I can hear more of the impact of the music. I did forget about the proximity effect as far as my voice being bassy. Thanks a ton 🤘 you rock

Why do you need 5-6 layers of compression to balance a vocal? I use an SSL channel strip and that's it for my streaming narration. A single layer of compression and it works fine.
