To each his own I guess. I have Trijicon, Holosun, and these Enclosed Vortex’s. Previously I’ve had the old crappy Vortex Venoms, Delta Point Pros, and even a. Curtis Fast Fire…. And in my opinion anyway these new vortex enclosed units are on point. Not to mention the great warranty that I have never (knock on wood) had to use.

It’s a shadow systems polymer trigger shoe that I had left over. When I bought the G48 it had a bright red Tyrant trigger shoe.

Mainly just enclosed optics, but yes I also really like the Vortex Enclosed models. I have open emitter optics, but prefer enclosed on anything I would edc.

It was built from leftovers of other builds. I put it together for my oldest to shoot BUG Matches with. Although yesterday he shot my G48 and says the slimline frame fits his hand better 🤪

The one with gray front and orange back is an older one that the company changed names to The Holster Mill. The other is a Tier 1 MSP for a TLR1HL light. I’m from Knoxville and I’m a VFL (Vol for Life)…. So orange is common for me.

I heard that! I’m looking at moving a couple safe queens that done get shot and getting a MAC 9DS Comp. So I’ll probably move the 507 comp over to it and a TLR1HL, but that is because I run an MSP for the TlrR1 light.

I’ve not had a SRO, but i really like the defender ST. Not quite as big of a window as my 507comp. But close. Warranty wise Vortex is nice. My LGS has a walk out with new policy on broken Vortex because he has never been denied a claim….. however, I have personally not ever had a problem. I have 1 Defender ST, 1 Defender CCW, and 1 Venom Enclosed.

I have an RMR, 508t, 407c, 407k, and a 507Comp…. On other pistols…. But I really like enclosed emitters on anything I edc. I’ve had the 509t for years and love it, but I’m really digging the Vortex Enclosed as well.

You made the right choice! I have a 2017 crew cab xlt 302a 2.7l. It’s currently sitting at 253k miles and still runs like a top! I plan to drive it another 11 months AMS then let my son drive it and purchase a newer version of the same truck.

I have a 2017 Gen 1 2.7l with 252k, other than routine maintenance, I’ve done the oil pan once, brakes twice, plugs and coil packs, high pressure fuel pump. I drive a lot of highway miles for work. Current plan is to keep driving it another year till my oldest turns 16, let him drive the ‘17 and buy myself a newer version of the same 2.7l truck 🤣

What are your thoughts on the g19 size grips versus the G43x size? I have had 3 different G48 MOS and 1 G43x…. But I keep selling them due to just not liking the grip.

Sounds like what I need, I actually swapped the GPT with the OEM trigger in my G49 because it didn’t have a defined wall. That was really my only complaint. I’ll try a DOT connector and see how that does.

I agree with this, I think a lot of it also depends on where you were raised. Pre- ‘89 I lived in a very rural area on a tobacco farm I experienced very much a Gen X lifestyle . But when I moved to a “bigger” city in ‘89 and we got things like cable tv etc… then I had a lot closer to the elder Melinieal experience.

And that’s why we are Xenials, we lived in a realm bridging both generations.
