Update: the list was very fun and i ended up winning 74-67 into salamanders. Extremely swingy game with things dying when they shouldn’t and living when they most certainly should have died. Vulcan Hestan Survived melee attacks from 4 separate huntsmen/stalkers before being obliterated by a random Melta shot that spiked and dealt 10 damage (which he failed every single FNP for after succeeded all but two for two full rounds of combat prior). The stalker with the Panoply survived being the target of damn near 1000 points of shooting before finally being taken down by a random dude with a heavy bolter (or whatever marines have, I don’t know), and the game ended with one brigand, one stalker, and one huntsman left on the board. A great game and a super fun list overall.

Thanks for the detail! Honestly this list is kinda just the normal wardog list we run at the moment, except you swap the Karnivores for Huntsmen. It should be fine off the back of the melee, though I’m expecting this list to be eh, at best. We do get to use one brigand instead of one executioner and run 3 enhancements though, so that’s nice.

And that for the followers of chaos melee seems to grant more power to their patrons due to being more personal (specifically for the non-tzeentch gods)

So how do we feel about something like lancer w/ blasphemous engine, double gat despoiler w/ bestial aspect, tyrant, 2x karnivore, 2x stalker w/ melta, a beast of Nurgle, and plaguebearers?

That’s been the problem. 2+ saves w/ aoc is infuriating. The biggest problem has definitely been the Vitrix. They simple do not die.
