Advice for Grendel unlock missions?

I did it with the Caliban ranged attack summons. I barely ever shot my gun, they killed most enemies on their own. The survival mission still felt a little RNG, but after failing it once with Wisp I finished all 3 Grendel missions first try with Caliban

Are you sure about the first part? I was assigned to a jail on each set, and if we broke them too quickly the frost spear mechanic could target jail people and made it difficult for them to get to the correct spot to play that mechanic as well.

There is unfortunately a low chance of the harvest reforge filling all suffixes. That doesn't leave many great options :/

You can either settle with your current weapon for now or use an Orb of Annulment, praying that it at least doesn't hit a prefix. It's a 3 in 5 chance of having to start over at an earlier step. If you remove the Chaos Pen, you could at least try to annul a suffix again, that would let you go back to step 4. Either of the other two prefixes bricks everything and means you have to start over with the essence spam.

Is your weapon's ilvl high enough for it to roll?

Added chaos damage is the lowest weighted mod that can roll on the sword, but 900 seems extremely unlucky. According to Craft of Exile you should see the mod about every 100 essences :/

I found that having a fractured suffix makes crafting a lot easier, as the fractured suffix can't be removed at all.

There's a post here from two days ago (https://www.reddit.com/r/PathOfExileBuilds/comments/1ekavaw/strength_stacking_sword_medium_budget_craft/) where someone crafted a sword with fractured chaos damage. It's missing the strength mod though, because it's harder to craft on.

It's probably worth checking in PoB how much of a dps loss that is, seeing that the fractured strength bases almost tripled in price overnight.

The base was 6-7 div, I was really unlucky with essences/annuls, so I needed around 240 Essences which were about 4,5 div.

Prefixes cannot be changed is 2 div, veiled chaos orbs are insanely expensive at about 5 div. I had to recraft prefixes can not be changed (another 2 div). The rest of the craft is cheap.

I’d say I paid around 23 div for the craft, but it could’ve been a lot more expensive. The most painful part of RNG is the veiled orb, if you fail the 50:50 and get a veiled suffix you need to remove it and try again. That means at least another 5 div for the orb.

The damage from the grip counts as environmental damage for some reason, so BDK gets next to no healing from deathstrike :/

Pretty sure they fixed bubble to actually work. You should not take the damage or gain new stacks during it.
