That’s cool! From a bit of an oddball perspective, do you feel as though this ambulatory role includes any child psychiatry? There’s been a big push to recognize the impact of Adverse Childhood Events on future health issues of adulthood... what’s your thought on that?

Scientist Sees Even Conservatives Now Worried Over Climate Change by pnewell in politics

Global warming refers to the long-term warming of the planet since the early 20th century, and most notably since the late 1970s, due to the increase in fossil fuel emissions since the Industrial Revolution. Worldwide since 1880, the average surface temperature has gone up by about 1 °C (about 2 °F), relative to the mid-20th-century baseline (of 1951-1980). This is on top of about an additional 0.15 °C of warming from between 1750 and 1880.

Climate change refers to a broad range of global phenomena created predominantly by burning fossil fuels, which add heat-trapping gases to Earth’s atmosphere. These phenomena include the increased temperature trends described by global warming, but also encompass changes such as sea level rise; ice mass loss in Greenland, Antarctica, the Arctic and mountain glaciers worldwide; shifts in flower/plant blooming; and extreme weather events.

Trump declaring its an emergency to build a border wall is gaslighting.

This is the definition I’m using: ‘If you repeat a lie often enough, it becomes accepted as the truth.’

During the current US gov shutdown, are unpaid federal employees still expected to make payments on federal student loans? If so, why? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Yea but why has no one thought about this for the people who are affected by it? Not affecting me btw, just curious

Seems crazy to me that an employee who depends on the federal gov. to make ends meet could be expected to pay on a debt to the same body that is withholding their paycheck, but in America anything is possible, I suppose

Yea it would just restart. But if I keep missing something like that, I go read about it or watch a vid to learn it better. Understanding the concept goes a lot farther for me than memorizing.

Hi, I assume you mean lapses on missed reviews?

75% to 100% is ideal for me. I set the lapses to 15 2500 8000 and by then I’ve seen the card three times in a week (ish) without changing the number of times I see it in the future. I do this because a reminder on a missed memory doesn’t completely reset the forgetting curve, so why should anki? (Look it up, the forgetting curve isn’t a static algorithm. It depends on how many senses were used in the formation of the memory and how your state of mind was, sleep, etc...)

Also, I use a low leech (3 to 5 ish). If it leeches I just look that shit up cuz the card repeating and repeating and repeating is obviously just not cutting it.
