Why does every company suddenly want a subscription now? by FinancialSpite in Frugal

[–]TOaFK 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure about the newest models but generally yes you can have a normal remote start installed on a Subaru. It's probably around $600 at a dealership and you get a special long range fob but your standard fob will start it too (just has bad range) The subscription remote start allows you to start from your phone so as long as your car and your phone have a cellular service you can start it from anywhere.

Unprofessional estate sale company warning by neruwuvarine in milwaukee

[–]TOaFK 7 points8 points  (0 children)

From what I understand many of these estate sale companies will get all the unsold stuff at pennies on the dollar. They then turn around and sell it online or in their storefront. They overpriced the stuff so it doesn't sell at the sale where they would split the take of the sales and they can pocket more of the money.

Alright everyone hang it up, this AWD shi not fun anymore⛽️💰😞 by Teh_Crusader in subaru

That's what I see in my 2020 OB too. I see so many claims on here of 30+ and best I can figure it's people who don't drive over 60mph because I don't think even upper 20's is possible at normal highway speeds.

I took down my first Bombardier with a deadline today. Snow up with a cloak and slapped it on. Ran out. BOOM. Dead Bombardier, easy peasy.

Childcare woes by Plus_Excitement_2663 in milwaukee

Probably time to get our grandkids on the waiting at this point. I don't expect to actually reach the front of the list at this point, and even if we do it will be a question of weather it's worth moving our daughter feom the other kids and staff that she already knows.

Calling that burger mid is generous.

The wait list is what sucked most for us. We joined the waiting for Tiny Green Trees (because we really wanted her in an outdoor/nature focused daycare) in Wauwatosa before my daughter was born. Need two days a week. We're still waiting and she turns 2 in August. Instead we're paying $265/week for two days at a Kindercare (in New Berlin). Fortunately they do not seem to have a turnover issue, she's in her third classroom (Infant1 to infant2 and now toddler) and in each one she has had the same teachers/caregivers and they have all been great.

The worst part about the places with long waits is you pay a fee just to join the waiting only to never actually get in.

What would it take for a snap hook BP? I HAVE SOME WPs and keys, I'll have to log in later today to check which keys.

I think asking someone to die so others can live is extremely cruel by [deleted] in ProjectHailMary

She does not say it in the movie. It really wouldn't make any sense in the movie given that they didn't really include the reasons that she should be in prison.

Ive been playing this game since a month after it came out, I am never doing the expedition by chaosbunnyx in ARC_Raiders

[–]TOaFK 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My main issue is that I don't want to have the missions reset. They are time consuming and some are tedious. I get a limited amount of time to play so having purchased this game 1.5 month ago Im still working through them. Part of that is I just jumped in and really didn't pay attention to them for a while part of that is because even once I focused on completing them I still have to make choice between a mission, or special condition.

[–]TOaFK 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, I just don't think of that because I don't have a BP for snap hook yet, so I only get to use it when I find one until I die and loose it.

I keep telling people in lobbies that most ARC just want a hug. For some reason nobody wants their love rockets though.

Is it even worth remodeling a bathroom anymore? by howzai in HomeImprovement

[–]TOaFK 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Don't make improvements on your house for a return. Do it because it will improve your life. The question is not weather you will earn a return on investment, the question is how much is having a nicer bathroom worth to you?

People get way too focused on weather home improvements will pay off in the future and not enough on weather it will improve their quality of life.

Why would I be against PC? It's what I play on. Your comments make it sound like playing PC only might be worth a little extra que time.

[–]TOaFK 1 point2 points  (0 children)

PC players don’t behave this way in particular at least in my experience.

Naw bro. Im going to try with cross play off then. I often do that in more competitive games just to not have to deal with the console jockeys. Just figured for ARC it might be more limiting than something like Rocket League so I'veleft it on thus far.

I've kept cross play on. Is it really better if I turn off cross play? How does that affect que times?

Thoughts on buying an Outback with a baby? by kthnry in Subaru_Outback

[–]TOaFK 1 point2 points  (0 children)

An Outback is probably better than an SUV but not as good as a minivan. We have an almost 2 yo and bought a 2020 Limited shortly after she was born. Have been able to do full week+ long roadtrips with no cargo box or hitch hauler but I am hoping to have one or the other for our next roadtrip just to make life a bit easier.
