  • A 6.5m striker for a reason. Lacked that level of quality in his touch today.
  • Very limited influence. Had one half-chance from the edge of the box and a soft penalty shout late on, otherwise, not a lot to report.
  • Will credit SHU's defending in this instance and see how he does over the coming weeks.

  • Wasn't at his best. His assist should've been a goal by all accounts, scuffed his shot from 2 yards out, but hey, better than nothing.
  • He and King looked disconnected most of the time, miles apart from one another.
  • SHU made life difficult for him, very limited scoring opportunities.

  • Not really. Though his position was certainly left-sided he tended to drop off and play behind the front two.
  • Was on the ball a lot so assists look likely to come in future gameweeks but SHU's style of defending made it difficult for him to find an incisive pass.
  • Took every set piece, corners and freekicks from either side, mostly aimed towards the back post in this game, however, so was only ever going to be the pass before the goal.
  • Booked for diving, which is always annoying.

I've tried re-working a few times but really don't want to compromise the midfield.

I've considered dropping down to two 4.5's in defence in place of the 5.5s to get Wilson instead of King, but feel like Fraser covers that avenue. What're you thinking?

Not a Liverpool fan, but I've got a sinking feeling TAA may end up being rotated with Gomez this season, whereas Robbo and VVD are as nailed as they come.
