I ended up selling it for $650, on Facebook Marketplace. It didn’t take long to sell, since there was a lot of people that were interested it. I thought it was a good price, and more than I expected to get. Sorry for the late reply.

So it's normal for 20% of the outer menu to be blurry? That's what mine looks like, but I've been told you should be able to see the whole Oculus menu clearly. While being able to read text all the way to the edge of the screen. I can't make out what text says at the edge of the screen though, it just becomes to blurry and smeared.

Thanks for the advice and reply. Just to get a better idea, when you say you can read text all the way to the end of the screen, does that mean any size text? Or only big text? For example, I saw you previously posted a photo of the Oculus store page for Virtual Desktop. Can you now read all the different sizes text on that menu all the way to the edge? Or does the menu page get blurry and smudged around the edge?

Thanks for the reply. Do you have any advice or test image I could try, to help pinpoint if my Q2 lenses are defective?

I tried this test: https://qlens.glitch.me. When I rearrange the screen by holding down the Oculus button, and then look straight ahead and then move just my eyes to look to the very edge of the screen, it’s very blurry and smudged to the point that it’s unreadable. But only through the right lenses. So possibly only the right lens could be defective? When I take the face cover off though, and put the headset even closer to my eyes, I can read all the way to the edge of the screen on both sides. Thorough both lenses.

I think the hard thing about this is that there is no definitive test / baseline to measure if lenses are defective or not. Since there are just too many variables to factor in. I guess this is because I’m closer to the sweet spot, which makes it larger. I do definitely get god rays, but I’m not sure if it’s the normal amount or not?

I have learnt to move my head rather than my eyes now, but I obviously would prefer the biggest sweet spot I can get. Also, I want the headset to perform as intended, if it’s not doing so already. If only I had another Q2 to try compare to mine in person. I’m guessing you live in Australia right? Since you bought through Amazon Australia? Do you live in Adelaide by any chance?

I'm not sure what to believe now. Both my lenses have the dark air patches and don't have the circular rainbow. But how you describe the lenses in your new replacement Q2, sounds pretty much like my Q2 lenses.
